First and foremost, please allow me to extend my heartfelt condolences once more for the loss of your father. Although I expressed my sympathies in December 2021 after learning about his passing in August 2021, I personally understand that grief does not have an expiration date, and the sadness of such a loss can linger indefinitely. Our collaboration which began in March 2021 was a project I approached with great enthusiasm, particularly because it involved documenting your father's story. Like all of my ghostwriting projects, we started with an information gathering phase. This phase, from March to mid-April 2021, included almost weekly extensive video conference sessions with you and your father. In addition, I dedicated over 25 hours to reviewing the numerous documents and recordings you provided. By the end of April, we had concluded this first phase and were preparing to move into the writing phase in May. However, in May 2021, due to unforeseen personal circumstances where I became the sole caregiver for my sister who was undergoing cancer treatments, I communicated the necessity to pause the project until her treatments were complete, to which you graciously agreed. I want to clarify that at no point did I cease communication or "ghost" you. I'm not sure how you calculate that I did not contact you for 9 months when the project did not start until March 2021, we worked together until the end of April 2021, the project was paused in May 2021. While the project was on hold, I made several attempts to maintain contact. After my sister’s treatments concluded at the end of July 2021, I reached out but unfortunately did not receive a response. It wasn’t until December 2021 that I heard from you again, informing me of your father's passing in August 2021. Our agreement was segmented into four phases: (1) Interviewing/Information Gathering; (2) Writing; (3) Editing/Revision; and (4) Publishing. The payment you made was specifically for the first phase, which was completed before the project was paused. This phased payment approach was designed to ensure fairness, allowing payments to align with the progress of work and compensating for services provided accordingly. Regrettably, we were not able to complete the full project. Again, I am so sorry for your loss and I understand your grief because I lost my sister to cancer during this time period as well. In December 2021 and January 2022, I reached out via telephone and email offering to refund your payment even though the services for the first phase were fully rendered. Unfortunately, I did not receive a response to these offers. You have not contacted me since my last attempts to connect with you. While I understand your grief and frustration, I do not understand why you've chosen to write a malicious and libelous review 2 years later. I am saddened and perplexed by the decision to post a negative review containing inaccuracies, especially when I maintained open communication with you and we had a good working relationship. My intention has always been to address any concerns through dialogue, grounded in empathy and understanding. Even though I don't owe you a refund and even though you have attempted to damage my reputation with your review, I will still honor the offer I made 2 years ago. To resolve this matter, you simply need to send me information on how to issue the refund. I sincerely wish for your healing and blessings and hope we can find a resolution that honors the memory of your father.
