FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In order to keep my license active I have to complete a certain amount of continuing education credits every two years. Massage therapy is very broad and there are lots of different styles that could be learned. I have taken reflexology and Qi Gong education and I am getting set up to start and complete a full series of cranio-sacral Therapy training. I am super excited about it!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
During family reunions and while meeting with friends, I was always massaging everyone's shoulders, so since I was a teenager I felt somehow attracted to massage therapy. Later on, I found a school and signed up. Immediately I was told by my instructor that I have a special touch. I think it's truly enjoying what we do, what makes us great at it.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I mostly have clients that complain about low back pain issues. I would say that is one of my specialties. Neck and shoulder problems are ailments that come up pretty often as well. I also work with abdominal massage, which aids digestion and menstrual cramps when ladies are on their moon.
