Elise helped me organize and clear out my home from clutter prior to selling my house. She also helped me stage the house for pictures as well. She helped show buyers the potential our home has to offer. We received multiple offers and got over asking! She works fast, was efficient and reliable. I couldn't have had a better experience. I am going to be using her again to help me with the remainder of my packing prior to moving in a couple of months.

Elise did a wonderful job organized our office! With a small office space for 4, sometimes 5 working adults, we needed help with prioritizing our needed items and deciding what we would eliminate. Elise created a space that allows us to feel more comfortable and access our things easily. We were able to eliminate the clutter and free up space to make a tiny office feel big! She was personable, kind, and willing to go the extra mile.

Elise organized my home office, a closet and kitchen. She was a huge help eliminating clutter. I got rid of things I was needlessly keeping. Now everything has a clearly labeled place. Most importantly we have been able to keep things organized in the months since Elise finished each space. She does a fantastic job of using supplies you have on-site. The best thing about Elise is she takes a very professional approach making organizing easy!

Elise is AMAZING! She works to understand your needs then helps you get organized in a way that you and your family can maintain. She gets so much done in a short period of time and has great ideas. She has helped me organize my house and use the space so much better. It's like I have a new house when she is done. I have recommended her to all my friends.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $60/ hour for my Professional Organizing services. I offer a discount when you purchase my 10-hour package up front: 10 hours for $500.00. For Personal Assistant/Concierge Services & packing/moving coordination assistance my rate is $35/ hour. **There is a prerequisite of at least 10 hours of organizing with me before I will offer these services.**
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We begin with a phone consultation wherein we get acquainted and determine if I offer the kind of assistance the client is looking for and/or what the client needs is within my expertise and specialization. If we are a match an in person home consultation is scheduled to continue getting to know each other, explore goals, expectations, the process of becoming and remaining organized, we will tour the home revealing all storage places such as cabinets, drawers, closets, garage, attic/basement, etc; I will take before photos to be used only for the clients benefit to track & reveal progress and together we will discuss a price estimate and schedule our first session.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Women's Studies and Masters degree in Social Work from California State University, Long Beach. I have over 10 years experience listening, problem-solving, stream-lining processes, demonstrating compassion, understanding, and making a difference in people's lives working in the fields of Human Services and Social Work. Additionally, growing up in a home with a Mother and Brother who both live with Attention Deficient Disorder, I learned how to create order and use organization as a way to modify my environment and contribute to the serenity in our family. I am committed to assisting people learn how the discipline & regular practice of Organization creates more freedom, flow, and function not only in their home but in their lives!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My advice make sure to ask your Professional Organizer what his/her specialty is and who his/her ideal clients are and if the answer is no specialty and anyone--do not hire that person. All the experienced Professional Organizers I know, including myself, have certain skill sets(specialties) and have discovered who our ideal clients are. It is very important that you feel comfortable with your Professional Organizer and that your needs are within her/his abilities and preferences. A good match is key to success!
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I wish customers knew that there is nothing shameful about having clutter or lacking organization and that organizational skills can be learned, you don't have to be a "neat-freak" or "natural-born organizer" to develop habits and systems that bring more order and serenity to your life.
