Marjory Ruiz

Introduction: Hi. I'm Marjory! I've been tutoring high school and college students for over 3 years. I am particularly passionate about history, English and foreign languages and have helped students develop an enthusiasm and achieve great results in these subjects. I can also tutor in preparation for GED, SAT, and AP tests. I absolutely love being able to help students achieve success academically! My goal with each student is to help them develop the study, writing and test-taking skills they will need to be successful in school and to have them be confident in these skills and abilities. I am flexible with meet-up times and locations in order to provide the best possible learning environment. I have a 12-hour cancellation policy. I am a fluent native Spanish speaker who took AP Spanish and AP Spanish literature in high school. I have been a Spanish tutor for high school students in the recent past. I am also fluent in French, having studied it in high school and college. One of my majors in college was French (for my fluency, I received the Alpha Mu Gamma Award), and I lived a semester abroad in the south of France. I am passionate about languages and would love to help others develop their language skills. I love English language and literature. I am an avid reader and am an excellent essay writer. In college, I took several Honors English writing and literature classes and am very familiar with and knowledgeable about Shakespeare plays. I am great at proofreading written work and give great constructive feedback in terms of both grammar and content and did so often as a tutor to high school and college students.
