FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer a complimentary lesson for all new students so I can understand their exact needs. Then, we discuss how I can most effectively help and make a game plan to achieve both short and long term goals. Every lesson is tailored specifically to the student. If the student wants to learn simple ways to accompany themselves, we work on variations of the common chords. If they want to learn new strumming patterns, we work on rhythm and coordination skills. If I'm working with a professional artist, we find a way to make their particular style even more interesting, consistent and complex.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Guitar Performance at New England Conservatory and Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. Private and Ensemble Lessons with: Jackie McLean, Dave Santoro, John McNeil, Ran Blake, George Russell, Kenny Werner, Pat Pattison, and Mike Doyle.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with everyone from beginners to professional musicians, and have had incredible performance and teaching experiences with students and artists from all over the world. Since I've been based out of Nashville, I've worked with a lot of singer/songwriters teaching them how to accompany themselves. As a songwriter myself, it's exciting to see their ideas finally come to life. I am also frequently hired to play in bands of all genres and to accompany artists at their shows or in the studio.
