Introduction: I offer private and semi-private yoga, aqua yoga and meditation instruction Tuesdays and Fridays at Soma Vida Wellness Center (2324 E Cesar Chavez St 78702) and Sundays at Sol Healing and Wellness Center (13805 Ann Place, 78728). My classes focus on relaxation, body awareness, breath and alignment. I have over 700-hour or yoga teacher training and have been blessed to teach at yoga studios and pools around Austin since 2010. Types of yoga I teach are therapeutic, gentle, restorative, hatha, hatha flow and aqua yoga. About aqua yoga: Aqua Yoga is a fun and gentle form of yoga that many bodies can enjoy. The pool is an ideal environment for relieving pain and stiffness. In the water, joints are supported allowing free movement while also acting as resistance to help strengthen muscles. Aqua yoga lessons are practiced in a pool heated anywhere from 85 to 95 degrees. Private lessons may take place in your pool or at Floating Lotus Watsu (I35 and Howard Lane area). Aqua Yoga combines flowing poses and static strengthening poses. Yoga poses are modified for the pool by turning planes on their sides, using the pool wall combined with the floor creating stability and a opportunity to strengthen stretch. Yoga in the water challenges balance and illuminates the quality of breath. All you need is a swimsuit, a towel and a willingness to slow down. Putting your head underwater is not required. I also offer Reiki sessions. I am a Reiki level 2 practitioner from the Usui lineage.

I have been loving my time at Aqua Yoga on Sunday mornings with Katherine. Katherine leads with a gentle spirit. It sets my intention for the week to treat my body kindly. I feel renew and rejuvenated. I find I carry my yoga practice with me into my work as I'm mindful of how I can be more 'yummy".
