- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Sometimes an hourly rate plus material. Customers can purchase the material themselves.I like to give a fixed price so clients can budget accordingly. With all due respect , some prices are good for 3 months, because of the changing price of copper. You will find out why as we get to the question related to this one. Also because we Do more than one type of work. Prices are made accordingly . You will find out why within the 3rd question down from this one. " Explain a project ", Lastly think about if the exact same project was 1 mile and the other 30 miles away. The 30 mile away would have a modest gasoline and drive time to the job.So there are are a few different factors involved. - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
firstly If it a small job , I try to match it with the customers time off if they both work, or if all people work and are away from the Homestead. We can't always, but we try. We think that a persons time off is precious, but we can't schedule it that way all of the time. Again small jobs we can maybe do after 5 or the weekends, no problem.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
There are electrical classes that a pro has to take once a year to keep up with any changes to the NEC or NFPA. Also an EPA certification.
