Specific behaviors to address
Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Lorenzo's training technique stands out from other techniques because it works on any temperament or breed of dog and is successfully transferred to the owner. We have different programs including behavior modification, basic obedience, retrieval/scent work, utility work, protection work and service dog training. Yes, we DO train the aggressive dog! We are often the last stop before euthanasia which makes up about 70% of our clientele. I enjoy every aspect of the career I have chosen. From working with the dogs to building lifelong relationships with my clients who become like family. I would have to say the most satisfying thing is knowing I have changed and saved many lives and relationships.

Had an initial meeting on Monday and was very impressed with Galen's professionalism and friendliness. She communicated well and I felt totally comfortable with her around my dog. I look forward to beginning the training. I would definitely recommend that if you are looking for a do trainer, give Galen or anyone else with Lorenzo's Dog Training Team a call.

Galen came out to our home to evaluate Baxter. She is an excellent trainer and we were very impressed with her. Lorenzo's methods are beyond anything we have seen in the past. Baxter was very responsive to the training even though he is deaf. He picked up on the program very quickly even though he is almost 9 and has no prior training. We have only had him one month and he was stuck in a rescue for 2 years, I can already see we will have an awesome dog, with a happy forever home with the help of Galen and Lorenzo's Dog training team!

We adopted our Taco, he's a Chi/Terrier mix which was estimated to be about 1.1 mo old, back in Dec of 2015 from the Arizona Small Dog Rescue. (My oldest son and I just went to volunteer and came home with him) He is full of life, extremely hyper, has the cutest floppy ears and is just a cutie. We've always been cat people so this was all new to us. About a month later we adopted Sam from the same organization, however, he was in a foster home. He's Lab mix who is very clumsy, lovable, curios and has the cutest little wiggle when he walks. He was estimated to be about 3 mo old. As the days progressed so did their aggressive and dominating behavior towards us, the kids and the 4 cats we have in the home. I was completely stressed out and had second thoughts about the entire situation. I couldn't give up on them. That was NOT an option. I researched different trainings that were available through the local pet stores and online. I was trying to train them myself and got as far as sit and paw. Taco would lay down but wouldn't stay down. I used treats to do so. I said to myself, "what happens when the treats run out? I can't keep giving them treats to do as I wish"! After careful research through the internet I came upon Galen with Lorenzo's Dog Training Team. I looked her up on Facebook and contacted, through private message, a couple of her clients. I was happy to hear back from them as they had all good things to say about her and her training techniques. I am happy to report that both Sam and Taco are no longer fighting for the "alpha" role. They have their moments, however, but once corrected they stop. She took Sam to board with her for 3 weeks. Sam came back a completely different dog. Taco went to her for 2 weeks with an overlapping week with Sam. Taco has come back a different dog. They are both more relaxed, listen to commands and just a joy to have. I don't worry about them hurting the kids or the cats. We still have 2 more sessions with off leash training for the boys left. One tonight and the last one next week. My words can't justify the amazing progress these fur babies have made with Galen's help. I went to the AZ Small Dog Rescue and I almost made them cry because of the amount of work we've put into Sam and Taco to really become a loving and fun part of our family. We didn't give up on them. If and WHEN we decide to adopt another fur baby I WILL be calling to Galen for help. Oh, she really worked with us and our schedule to fit our training sessions in. She kept us updated while the boys were boarded and didn't hesitate to answer any questions or concerns we may have had. I, ABSOLUTELY FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART, RECOMMEND GALEN. We will miss her, Jesse and Cruze when our training sessions. Sincerely, Dawn, Junior, Anthony, Coltin, (Dogs) Sam and Taco, (Cats) Fuzz, Midnight, Campus and Mystery!!!!!

We came to Galen with a 1.5 year old Lab mix rescue named Murphy. We were not up to the challenges he came with - resource guarding, alpha and defiant behaviors aka general civil disobedience. We had no control. We tried to gain authority with basic obedience classes at PetCo but soon realized we needed more help when he snapped in defiance and over things he "hoovered" off the ground. Their treat based training did not work for us as he knew when we did or did not have the treats. So when Galen came to the house for the intro/demo and said things like "one command, one response" and not a treat based program, I was on board. Her training methods were effective, direct, and matched the level of need. I gave her a crazy wish-list of things I want of a family dog that far exceeded even my best dog in the past and she didn't even blink. No problem. You will have that dog. Really? Yes. She worked with him for 2 weeks but the heavy lifting was on the people training she did with us and him. This is where it had to click. Through this, she was patient, clear, direct, and reassuring. She explained the "why" behind what he was doing. Murphy is a nice little member of the family now instead of the frustration and stressful inducing dog that we wanted to send back to the shelter (not easy to admit that but it was that bad). I highly recommend Galen. When people say what a nice dog he is and how well behaved he is, how walking him is a joy not an event, I know the time, money, and work paid off. This IS an investment but you can't lose unless you don't do your part. Now, he still offers challenges now and again but we are now better equipped to handle what he has got up his sleeve. Galen is GREAT at her job with these challenging behavioral issues and fully endorse her work. There is no reason to not have a well behaved, well adjusted dog with Galen around. I have my wish-list dog.

I have only done the initial consultation on my dog, but within two hours Galen already had my dog aggressive GSD behaving around her dog. He was listening to her commands and acting like a gentlemen. I will without a doubt take him to her and I would recommend her training! She explained everything to me in a manner I could understand and my dog is already listening better! I can't wait to see how he is after the complete training. Thanks Galen!
