Introduction: Is your child struggling with one of the following subjects? -Math (Geometry, Algebra I or II, Pre-Calculus) -Writing -Reading -English If so, it may be time to try something different. My name is Lea Wojciechowski Ross, and I work with students who are struggling in Math, Writing, Reading, and/or English. I equip them with the skills to succeed in school and in life. As a certified teacher, I learned a lot from teaching in the classroom. I ultimately left teaching in the public school system in order to make a deeper impact on the lives of my students and provide a personalized learning experience that ensures their success. Through one-on-one tutoring sessions, my students gain mastery of the subject material and reach their academic goals from semester to semester. Students learn to identify their academic goals and reverse engineer an effective strategy to reach their goals while having fun and acquiring skills they can apply to their life and future career. Students leave the first tutoring session with newfound confidence in their academics. And with each session, they become increasingly proficient in the material. I offer tutoring in my home office in Troy, MI on Long Lake and John R near Jaycee Park and Athens High School. **Note: I can also provide tutoring in your home for an additional travel fee.

It's always difficult to select a tutor but Lea was a gold mine!!! So flexible, excellent at assessing the issues and than laying out a plan to resolve them. I was always confident my daughter would come away from her session with a firm understanding of the content reviewed and maintain comprehension of the subject matter. Five stars!! I will use Lea again and recommend her to anyone in need of math help!!

As an accomplished tutor in math and English, Lea’s first goal is to build a trusting relationship with her students and their parents. Trust dissolves a student’s fear of making a mistake, builds the confidence essential to learning and sets the foundation for subject matter advancement. Students can then tackle today’s rigor of assignments, grades and testing on all levels. Her approach and ability as a tutor are a refreshing change from today’s often-used automated approach based solely on grade or testing outcomes. If our grandchild were not out of state, Lea would be our first choice to support his learning and growth.

I hated fractions and Lea helped me figure it out. Now algebra is easier.
