Introduction: Sits N Wiggles is a small family-owned and -operated pet sitting service with services focused on the east side of Cleveland. We do our best to provide you and your pets with the kind individualized care and attention that you deserve. We offer a variety of standard services but will work with you to construct the perfect service combination to provide custom services to meet the needs of you and your pets. Our passion is making sure your pet has a wonderfully grand time with the Sits N Wiggles staff. Sits N Wiggles has been a long-time dream come true for Valarie and Hannah Ross-Smith. Sits N Wiggles aims to be your pet's best friend while you are away. At SnW, we love bully breeds and rescues, but we love all animals. Because we are a force-free service, we do not promote the use of prong, pinch, training, choke, radio, or shock collars and will not use them when working with your dogs. If you do not have a flat buckle or martingale-style collar or harness, we will bring one with us to use. Also, we do not use retractable aka "Flexi" leads when walking your dog; we do not believe that they provide the control needed to keep dogs safe from any dangers we may come across while out walking and exploring. Valarie Ross-Smith has been an animal lover her whole life. She would train her horses and dogs using positive reinforcement before she even knew that was a thing. She has been a volunteer within the dog rescue community and foster parent for over 15 years. She has studied business and has her master's in business administration. She is currently working on obtaining her dog training certificate. Valarie will be handling most of the administration of Sits N Wiggles and soon will be the head trainer.

I needed to find someone I trusted to watch my mothers shishu for a weekend when the neighbor who was going to sit her canceled at the last minute. I knew people who recommended Sits N Wiggles and gave them a call to see if they could take in coco even thought it was a last minute request.( would have had to cancel the trip home with mom to the family reunion if I couldn't ) They said "no problem" and coco had a great time playing with the owners and the other dogs there. Coco got more socialization skills and outdoor training on a leash then she would ever have gotten with the neighbor watching her. Mom has even noticed the change in coco and has suggested a "sleepover" in the near future to keep her new skills refreshed. Highly recommended for your fur baby.

!!!WARNING!!! “Sits n Wiggles Daycare & Training” should not be trusted with your pets. From my personal, recent experience, it is my opinion that owners Valarie and Hannah Ross Smith are unprofessional and unfit to care for anyone’s pet. Under an agreement with her business, Valerie committed to visit my home at specific intervals over a weekend (12-hour intervals that she suggested, in part, for her own convenience, but I believed her suggestion as she was supposedly the "expert" in what she does). When I arrived home Monday morning, I was terrified to find my 50 pound female pit bull mix deathly ill with her crate covered in feces, urine, and vomit. The severity of her condition was unlike anything I had ever seen whenever she has been crated for any period of time. She was unable to drink even a little water without vomiting. I took her to an emergency vet, where she was diagnosed with severe dehydration and was kept overnight to re-hydrate her with IV fluids and for further observation. Fortunately, she is healthy again, and my other dogs were fine. But, the situation was all highly suspect to me. My suspicions were confirmed when I learned through thoroughly investigating social media, talking with mutual acquaintances, and receiving other important information that Valarie and Hannah apparently did not visit my home as Valarie had agreed. I also learned that the way they conduct themselves and their “business” raises serious concerns as to their professionalism. Their own personal social media posts showed that on the night before I returned home when she was supposed to be caring for my dogs, Valarie was “high on pain meds” from an injury involving her own dogs earlier that day, and she and Hannah were at a “party” that same night during the times she claimed she was at my house. Witnesses also confirmed that they were attending a different event on another night when Valarie was supposed to be at my home with my dogs. When I confronted Valarie and Hannah about what I learned, they denied any wrongdoing and provided inconsistent and nonsensical explanations for what happened. I do not believe Valarie or Hannah intended to purposefully harm my dog. I do, however, believe that (because of their own personal agendas) their behavior was unacceptable and frankly unsafe for operating a “business” where they are supposed to be the experts to care for pets. To make matters worse, even though Valerie initially agreed to a full refund, they have since refused to return the fees that I paid upfront. I strongly discourage anyone from using their “services.” There are plenty of reputable pet sitters – from my experience and in my opinion, Sits n Wiggles is not worth the risk.

Ellie the cat here. I rate Sits n Wiggles very highly! In addition to food, water and litter care, my sitter gave me cuddles and playtime. Mommy received a text and photo of me in her phone!
