Introduction: INSTRUMENTS I TEACH: DRUMS, PERCUSSION, PIANO, GUITAR, UKE I teach music lessons to people.....but it's more than that. I am teaching kids to become smarter and teaching adults to get something more out of life. I practice music every day for at least 10 minutes and it enriches my life to no end. I couldn't imagine life without music. Hi! I'm Doug Ponier. If you live in West Cobb....you might have seen my music store. The one with all the stained glass windows of rock stars. After 23 years of being a mom and pop shop, I sold out to a corporate music store. I worked for them as a manager for a while, but they wouldn't let me teach and manage like I used to and I miss teaching music. I am now offering lessons in my home in West Cobb. My main instrument (and my degree) is on drums and percussion. But over the years I've taught Guitar, uke and piano everyday. I'd love to help you reach your musical goals. let's talk!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
If you come to my, I charge $30 a lesson, billed monthly. Lessons are 1/2 hour once a week on a scheduled basis. If you want me to come to your house, I charge $38 a lesson billed monthly.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
These are private lessons (of course the parent is always welcome to sit in and observe) so I want to find out what the students goal is and we can work towards achieving that.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been playing music since 1983. I've played drums and percussion in every type of band you can name and am still quite active. If you go the the Strands Motown or Christmas show, that's me up on the bandstand! I have a degree in music from Valdosta State University.
