I recently rented a party bus from Simms for a work function and had a great experience from start to finish. Ernest was quick in his replies and was very accommodating with our requests. The price was well worth the quality of the bus as well as the top notch service of the driver, Larry. He was punctual, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. The limo was on time and our driver, Greg, was very nice. Sadly, the air conditioner did not work very well. It wouldn’t blow out cold or even cool air. We had to ride with the windows open to have the temperature be even tolerable. We did report this to the driver. He tried to get it cooler but nothing worked. Secondly, and the MOST UPSETTING, was the cockroach in my champagne glass! We opened the bottle of champagne that came with the limo. Poured a glass and I started drinking. Something large and hard ended up in my mouth from my sip. I thought maybe it was a piece of metal, cork or plastic from the bottle. It was dark in the limo so I spit it out into my glass and shined s light on it. It was a dead cockroach! I immediately got sick to my stomach and showed it to my family. I also took a picture of it which I will gladly send to you. I didn’t want to ruin my fathers birthday so I kept the incident to a minimum. I did show the glass and the cockroach to my driver. I told him to please report this to the owner and let him know how disgusted I was. I was hoping to hear from the owner/ manager to get an apology at the very least, but nothing! I haven’t received a call, email, nothing! That upsets me the most. It was an unfortunate and disgusting incident. I’m upset that this company doesn’t take responsibility for its uncomfortable and unsanitary conditions, and most of all doesn’t respond to customer satisfaction. I am not one to Sue, but some reimbursement wouldn’t be out of line in this situation. Lastly, I can only hope that this company fixes its a/c and cleans it’s limos more thoroughly in the future. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. As we discussed yesterday, we were mistakenly told to wait for your call and that is why you were not contacted. We APOLOGIZE FOR EVERYTHING! We recently hired a new cleaning crew and they have failed and been fired! The new cleaning crew will inspect all vehicles and glasses before the cars leave our base. The air conditioning has been repaired and money refunded. I am glad at least you were happy with the driver. Sincerely, The Simms limousine family.
They overcharged us - we did go over the time but it is because the driver parked over a mile away from the venue (Hollywood bowl) we had to walk all the way to meet him. When you hire a limo you you expect to be picked up and dropped off at the front.Oct 15, 2018VerifiedErnest S.'s reply
We are sorry the limo could not meet you at the front and we have refunded your overtime charge. After speaking with the driver and checking the limo's GPS trip history we found the police do not let cars to the front entrance of the Hollywood Bowl when the event ends so the driver picked you up on Odin St. directly across the street from the Bowl entrance. We are sorry about the inconvenience but the police stopped your driver from getting to the front. Sincerely, The Simms limousine family.
