FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard is that I don't charge for sacramental services. These are a gift from God. However, I do accept donations to cover my costs, time, etc. Most people donate between $100 - $300 depending on their budget and ability. However, if it poses a financial hardship, I'm happy to do the wedding for free.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The couple tells me about their needs and desires (i.e. help with writing vows, type of ceremony, special accommodations, etc) and then I produce a draft of the liturgy. The couple then comments on the liturgy and we continue to work together to make it perfect. If the couple wants to have premarital counseling, we can meet for that. If the couple is moving in together for the first time and wants a house blessing, I can do that too. The most important step in the process is communication.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended Seminary, monthly formation groups with other potential clergy, I was ordained and served as a Deacon, and I am now an ordained Priest.
