He does a great job balancing teaching the basics and techniques while also making time to work on what you want to learn and play. I've improved a lot with his lessons, way more than I would have on my own. I would recommend him if you are looking to learn or improve your skills, especially if you are a beginner, because he can guide you and correct your technique so you don't form bad habits early on. He's super supportive and encourages you to push yourself. At my first lesson I didn't have picks yet so he gave me two to keep which was really kind. I have had the pleasure of knowing Sean for two years now, since he was hired as the group guitar teacher for the children’s music program I lead. It was obvious right away that he would be the perfect fit. Students like and can relate to him, he is friendly and comes up with the best and most inspiring music arrangements for the students that they enjoy playing. He meets every student where they are at the moment musically and builds on it, thoughtfully and methodically. I have also had the pleasure of observing Sean teach private lessons, as my son’s guitar teacher. I saw huge improvements in my son’s confidence and musicality right away.
