After all the frustrations training Siberian Huskies to recall on command, I enlisted the help of Nicole. GAME CHANGER! I worked with Nicole for 1 1/2 years, as she patiently taught me how to effectively train my 2 young, independent minded Siberian Huskies using an e-collar. They now enjoy so much freedom on the trails with me everyday and at home. While on our extended summer trips to the Yukon and Northwest Territories of Canada, camping, hiking and even paddle boarding, we constantly receive comments on how well our dogs are behaved. Our dogs now have the freedom to be free, full participants in all we do and are our the best traveling ambassadors anyone could ask for.

Nicole visited our home and watched our dog interact with the house, children and adults for an extended period of time. She was able to make some very astute observations about the dog and our interactions that were absolutely obvious to us once they were pointed out. She explained that we weren't asking enough of the dog and showed ways in which we could communicate better with our dog and exploit his willingness to please. She encouraged me to treat him as a working dog- treat him as my service dog.
Nicole had some very concrete ways of teaching me how to interact with Tucker. For example, she spent an amazing amount of time with me, practicing the timing required to teach Tucker to look at me for a head nod before taking a treat from my open hand. This has proven extremely valuable for bringing down his excitement level when we are training or when there are other dogs around. In another example, while I am biased toward using positive rewards when trying to teach a dog a command or skill, she taught me the value of using an electronic collar to introduce and reinforce a strong negative command when it is required, especially for off leash work. I still have him wear the collar when I am working off lead, but I use the shock component under the rarest of conditions. A strong verbal "no", coupled with a command to do something positive, such as a "come" can stop him in his tracks when we have encountered moose and "no" and "go to bed-stay" can put him where he belongs when he is just being demanding around the house.
The training that I received from Nicole has been really valuable in helping me to trust and enjoy my dog in many different situations. I really appreciate her help.

Nicole has a better rapport and understanding of dogs than anyone I have ever known. She is amazing! She helped this unruly pup become quite the gentleman. He wouldn’t listen to me at all! He stayed with Nicole while we were on vacation for a few days. He came back crate trained and understanding the basics. He attended some of her day camps. He learned to play with other dogs and has even learned not to try to get our old, fragile dog to play.
When I’ve had questions about behaviors, and how to help him do better, Nicole has been able to answer them and help me know what to do to help Cruzer do better.
On Mothers Day, we had over 35 people over. Cruzer was out and about and didn’t jump in anyone and didn’t steal any food! Nicole has helped immensely! Cruzer will stay with me when I leave the office and walk to the car. He has great car manners. He loves taking long walks with my husband. He listens to me and still rough houses with my husband. When people comment on how well he behaves, I always tell them it is thanks to Nicole, the most amazing dog trainer!

When my dog was a puppy I almost gave up on her but finding Nicole saved us! With her time, effort and answers to my constant questions I now have one of the best dogs. We did a board and train stay then continued with a few home lessons and even daycare to keep up on practice. 10/10 recommend!

We adopted a chocolate lab puppy as we retired. She had a mind of her own. We needed help training her and found Nicole through the recommendation of others. Nicole trained us as much (or more) than she trained our dog. This was our third lab. We thought we had done a good job training in the past. This dog was ready to challenge us at every turn. Thankfully we had Nicole to turn to. Nicole is amazing trainer. She relates well with dogs and the dogs quickly respond to her training.
