I called Downs Tree Service on Tuesday. He came out on Wednesday to look at the trees I wanted cut down and a tree that I wanted cut back. He gave me an estimate for the work. The crew came out on Thursday. They had the trees cut down, the tree cut back, and cleaned up the limbs, tree trunks and debris in less than 4 hours. One tree had limbs hanging over our pavilion roof. When they cut it back they did NOT hit the pavilion roof. One tree had limbs hanging over and on our neighbors storage building. When they cut it down they did NOT hit her storage building. We had a dead pine tree that had always leaned towards our neighbors driveway. When they cut it down they protected a small Crepe Myrtle tree that had came up on its own by putting it out of the way. The guy who climbed in the trees was fascinating to watch. He would tie a rope around the branch and the guys on the ground would pull the rope in the direction that they wanted the limb to fall. They were extremely hard working professional guys. I will highly recommend Downs Tree Service to anyone who needs any work on trees done. I will call Downs Tree Service for any future tree removals. If I could give them a higher rating I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Johnny and his team were amazing and professional! They arrived on time and took down two trees right in front of the house. They stacked the wood I wanted to keep and hauled away the brush. The team did an excellent job cleaning up. They will return for phase two of my project. I highly recommend Johnny and his team for any tree removal.

I HIGHLY recommend Downs for all tree removal. From the first call to get an estimate until the job was finished (less than a week) we couldn't have wanted a better experience. Communication was VERY much what you want from someone you're doing business with. The crew worked like a well oiled machine and you can't tell we ever had the trees that were removed. They left our yard looking great! Excellent experience!!!

Johnny Downs and his Tree Service did an excellent job taking down very mature Tulip Poplars (3) that were very close to my home. His climbers tied off the limbs and lowered most to the ground. No damage to any buildings or adjacent trees! I also had a diseased Red Oak that was 7 across - a huge tree that was constantly dropping huge dead limbs that they cut and removed. I highly recommend him for your tree removals.I had seen Johnnys work and was very impressed when he removed some trees for neighbors. He completed my work in two days!!! He had three climbers in the three poplars at the same time, with other men on the ground with ropes helping each climber. My daughter and I sat in chairs in the front yard and watched in amazement.They had all four trees on the ground when they quit for the day on day 1! Day 2 was spent cutting, loading, and hauling off the trees. Then the stump grinding and cleanup. I will definitely use them again if the need arises. Thanks Johnny!

The price wasn't cheap but reasonable. They had to manually haul large pine tree pieces from my back yard due to limited access. They took away all the debris and cleaned up after themselves. I wouldn't hesitate to call them for another job.
