Excavation Services

The best way for these folks would be to follow up and do what they are paid for. Any information I got from Mr. Barton, I had to pry out of him. He promised to keep me posted every step of the process and did not deliver! I paid them $7200 over a 5 week period to excavate a space for a carport. After 5 weeks, he ran out of money and just quit. He left me with a large muddy mess and hasn't returned in over 3 weeks! I have contacted other people to get this job completed. I will be contacting a lawyer to sue him and get some relief for what it will cost to remediate what he has done! I highly recommend you remove him as a contractor.

I never quit the job. I ran into a huge rock that require a bigger piece of equipment to remove the rock. I initially quoted the price to do the job at 22k but Mr. Dennis didn't have the 22k, so I agreed to do the job for 15k which all he had. Digging out the area used up more the $7200, so I had to come out my pocket $2500 for equipment rental that couldn't finish the job. I asked Mr. Stephens to help pay for the bigger equipment so I can finish phase 1 of the job. phase 2 was to come in and pour the concrete for $4300. I asked the homeowner to take $1500 out of phase 2 to help pay for the bigger equipment and he refused. So, I never quit. Also within in that time of 5 weeks, bad weather became an issue also. I told him that when I can come up with the $1500 to rent the bigger equipment to remove the huge rocks, I will proceed with the job. I feel that he is discriminating against me being black, thinking I have quit but has been delayed because of no funds....I am sorry that this happened and I aim to finish if he doesn't hire another contractor....
