Introduction
My work stands out from others because of my strict adherence to the proper form and body mechanics of a specific exercise. I also am willing to specifically relate certain exercises and stretches to a client's medical and health history. For example, patients that have lower back pain will be restricted from certain exercises that a post pregnancy patient may be allowed to perform. I enjoy most the clientele/patient/customer interaction that comes with the territory when in the health and human services industry. I prefer to seek some sort of personal history or involvement in a client's life in order to fully gain understanding and produce a complete balance of lifestyle, health and wellness revolving around the client.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

When my mother replaced her knee about 8 years ago, I was determined to seek a career in the health and medical field. When I was able to understand what physical therapy entailed, I became intrigued with body mechanics and physiology of the body when the body is in an active state.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Correcting body mechanics; creating exercise programs that integrate running and cycling; breathing and stretching techniques, warm up and cool down methods; education in injury prevention; connect clients with physical therapy clinics in the area as well as shoe stores and medical supplies

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Always seek someone with plenty of references and a great personality. Never just seek a trainer that is" built and buff." Lets be real here, not everyone has the capacity or time to dedicate their lives to exercising for hours upon hours at a gym. Some people may not even have a facility, but there are plenty of exercises to perform outside of a gym setting. Seek a trainer who is willing to put in the effort to help you maximize the time you're with them.
