- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer an “elopement service”. This is a short and sweet ceremony with the bride, groom and myself. $100+ travel fee. My travel fees are 90¢ per mile for weddings outside of a 25 mile radius of Rogers, AR. Rehearsals are $50 per hour plus any applicable travel fees. I require a 50% non-refundable deposit in order to secure your date. The balance is due the day prior to the ceremony.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I have found that most information can be gathered by a phone conference or email. I like to send out a questionnaire to get to know the couple and a bit about their vision for their big day. If you feel like we are a good fit I would suggest that the couple put down a deposit to secure their date. We will then work together on creating and crafting a wedding ceremony that is unique to you!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I am a floral artist as well, so needless to say, I have been involved in LOTS of weddings. I noticed that couples are personalizing their weddings more and more, steering away from church style weddings. I feel that couples should be able to personalize their ceremonies too. There was a lack of officiants that would step outside the box. That’s where I step in. 😃
