FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing system is actually very simple. I ask some questions about the needs and wants of the client, take some measurements, ask if there is a specific budget, and then price the project based on the cost of the materials required and the labor costs I need to survive as a business. If the final cost is out of the budget for the client, then I ask for the opportunity to adjust to meet their needs. In most cases, I am successful because I show the client how professional I present myself, and offer my expertise with their wants and needs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly looking for new and improved ways of creating artwork for the home. Homeowners should realize one thing: All homes are required to have concrete, its what you do with that concrete that creates an added value to your home. I make it a habit of checking with my suppliers for seminars, training classes, and new products in the concrete repair and decorative industry.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was a salesman for a construction material supplier. During some of the training seminars I attended, I became certified as an installer and consultant for the Acid Stain process and for Spray on Decorative Overlays through LM Scofield company, Master Builders, Sonneborn, and Miracote. I fell in love with the finished products and decided I should become a service part of these finishes.
