I am different than most cleaners as I don't just skim over the top of things. I get things clean the way clean should be. Areas I clean look fresh and new instead of "lived in". I strive for a "clean environment", and I instinctively know what needs cleaned after assessing the job upon arriving. Tasks included in all cleans are wiping down light switches, door knobs, and doors/frames. Baseboards are considered part of the floors task. Every room cleaned looks fresh, clean, and smells good. Colors pop and the atmosphere is pleasant. Dry dusting surfaces do not do a bit of good. The reason is that wiping dust from a surface using a dry cloth creates static, and static attracts dust. If one were to dry dust surfaces to knock the dust down, by the time the task was finished, dust is drawn to the surfaces again by the static created by dry dusting as if it had never been done! Not only that, everything looks dull and you can still smell the dust in the air. Any time we use a damp cloth to wipe a surface, we chase it with a dry cloth as to remove any water spots, cleaner haze, and finger prints. The result is the surface shines and the colors pop! *Polish/oil - furniture polish, such as Pledge, or other such brands, are used on finished wood surfaces, plastics, vinyls, paper, etc. Furniture oil is used on unfinished wood surfaces. Cleaning is second nature to me, and I do it well. I find it satisfying to know that my skill is able to help someone who isn't able to do it for themselves, or doesn't have the time to do the house cleaning. I also get satisfaction with the results of my work because the areas cleaned look fresh and new.

Our entire house needed cleaned from top to bottom after enduring months of dirty, dusty renovations. Teresa and her helper did a fantastic two day job and we ended up with a house that sparkled. No job was too difficult for them and Teresa even washed all my windows! My husband and I were so impressed by Teresa's hard work ethics and her results than we decided there and then to hire her for bi-monthly cleaning. We have employed various cleaning firms over the past twenty years and none have achieved the level of cleaning that Teresa gave us. I would recommend her to anyone looking for an outstanding house cleaner who will tackle any job asked of her.

Teresa is very detailed and doesn't miss a thing. I have VERY high expectations so I did working interviews with 4 people before I found and hired Teresa. She came over to do a walk-through and asked if I wanted a deep clean to start. She explained that she prefers to start from a clean slate which does take longer initially, but in the long run will save time each time she comes because it will be maintaining things from a finished state instead of just surface cleaning over an unfinished starting state. I knew it would be expensive the first time, but it was SO worth it. She spent 12 hours cleaning my house from top to bottom. Seriously. Top to bottom. I usually have to ask for things like the following - but she got them without even being asked! - the entire door and the door frames, (and tops) - looking for and wiping handprints off walls - wet-cleaning every baseboard - the cords and stands for appliances (think: electric toothbrush stand and cord) - the legs and undersides of finished wood furniture - dusting curtain rods and shower rods - dusting the light bulbs and top of a wall mounted mirror - using the edge tool along every floorboard, every time - vacuuming the sofa - cleaning the doors and faces of cabinetry with pledge every time - wiping off little things like night lights and outlet expanders - using the attachment to get under furniture the vacuum won’t fit under - cleaning the dripped soap off the soap dispensers and shampoos My husband was initially a little nonplussed that it would take 12 hours to clean the house with a $200+ price tag, BUT I got out an actual white glove and went around the house showing him that I couldn't even find any dirt on things like the door hinges, corners of the floors, or the little teeny ledge on the bottom of the picture frame that no one but me ever remembers is there. She even dusted the electronics. AND: she even removed CLEAR tape from the laminate flooring. I didn't even know it was there but she found it and scraped it off with a scraper tool. You know your floors are clean when it squeaks….from bare feet! I no longer have to follow behind a housekeeper touching up - which drove me crazy, but I had resigned myself to the fact that I would probably never find someone as detailed as I needed so I just settled - Not anymore!! You will be very happy with her work. She really does think of everything. Be prepared for the the first time to take about 2-4 hours per bathroom depending on size and condition, 3-4 hours for the kitchen and an 1-2 hours for each other room depending on the size and how much stuff you have, but the following times is a breeze because she's keeping up the initial state she created by doing such a thorough job. It saves at least an hour each returning time by starting fresh. ALSO, it makes it easier for me to keep things up between appointments because there's nothing to scrub - it's all clean! (I keep my house VERY clean and I couldn’t believe how much cleaner she got it.) Overall I am spending less and I have a cleaner house than I would with another service even with an initially more expensive visit. Plus she's very nice and very reliable and she calls if there's a problem. I can count on her being here if she says she'll be here or I'll here from her if there's an issue. She had a car issue once and rather than cancel, she borrowed a friend's car in order to keep the appointment then called to ask if being a little late would still work for me due to the need to borrow a car. - Amazing - most people would just cancel or they might not even call. Hire Teresa. You will not be disappointed! And on top of everything else, her rates are very reasonable. Thank you Teresa!

Teresa had great communication prior to scheduling the cleaning and answered all of my questions thoroughly. On the day of the cleaning, she had only half her crew due to unexpected absences, but was positive and assured me she would do her best work and get the job done. She and her one crew member worked for hours to get the house taken care of, and after the second crew member had to leave for the day, she continued working on her own to make sure everything was complete. We were really impressed with the result and would recommend Teresa's services without hesitation.

Teresa is exceptional. I had her cleaning a rental property that was quite filthy and I was amazed at how well she cleaned. I have never seen someone work so hard. My money was very well spent and I gave her a bonus. I had her bring a helper, I will not do that again when I use her. Her helper was not worth the $16/hr I had to pay her. I definitely highly recommend Teresa and will be using her again in the future.

Hello Diane! You know, I don't have a need to visit the local fitness clubs because I get my excercise at work! And plenty of excercise at that! In my past experience doing house cleaning jobs, I have found that rentals are the most challenging. The reason I say this is because tenants don't really have the same respect for their living environment because it isn't actually owned by them. People tend to respect things at a higher level when it is their own. So, with that said, when someone is moving out of a rental, they tend to have little consideration for the owner of the property because they are moving on with their lives leaving previous situations behind. And that, my friend, can be scary, as we know from this very incident! I'm concerned with your dissatisfaction of my co-worker's performance. I will share with you that she was newly hired that day and was undergoing the evaluation process of the second part of her interview the first four hours of the job. I will also share with you that she did not meet the standards I require of my cleaners and was not hired out for future work. On-the-job evaluation is the best way to tell if that person passes muster to work with me as I have high expectations and do expect them to perform miracles! Even though she didn't work out, I am confident to tell you that your particular clean was a rare occurance where the company's workforce fell short of the client's expectations. I am pleased to give you an update on House Cleaning & General Home Care's workforce. The co-worker that was absent from your clean, and the new one was filling in for, has now returned to work, AND I have also signed on a third cleaner that both compliment the company's workforce very nicely. Teresa has been cleaning my town home for the past few months. I found her on Thumbtack. She was the first to get back to me (with a friendly, enthusiastic response) and her rates were so sensible that I decided I would hire her. I am glad I did because Teresa does a phenomenal job and leaves whatever she is cleaning absolutely immaculate, and I mean immaculate. There are no shortcuts for Teresa. You want your place clean…she gets into every nook and cranny to ensure it is clean. And I certainly don’t make it easy for her, I have animals, I live in the desert, and don’t find much time to maintain it myself. There is usually a layer of dust and dog hair on just about everything…not to mention the everyday buildup of grime and dirt. After she has finished, I usually stand there in awe at how spotless everything is. No joke. I have had no complaints with the products she uses and my animals and I are always there when she is cleaning. She has even purchased special products when she was unsatisfied with a result. Teresa is exceptionally hard-working and takes her job seriously. Her work-ethic is unmatchable and her rates are overwhelmingly reasonable. I think you’d be hard-pressed to find anyone else out there to provide the type of service for the price. Thanks Teresa, I am glad I found you and I appreciate your hard-work and dedication.
