Eddie is absolutely one of the most fun and passionate individuals I have ever worked with. From the get go Eddie has a plan when starting lessons with one, the results show much quicker then one thinks as well. My chops and overall touch and feel have changed dramatically since I took drum lessons with Eddie. Eddie is also flexible and if you have something in mind that you want to learn like a song for example; Eddie is more then willing to oblige. Overall, I had a great experience and I highly recommend Eddie Vallee to anyone young or old who wants to take drum lessons with him!

Our son has been going to Eddie for two years now and he is an outstanding teacher. Jonathan is blind in one eye and can't see out of the other and Eddie has always accommodated to his needs. We moved out of the Phoenix area about 6 months ago and continue to do the online lessons with Eddie. Jonathan looks forward to his lessons every week and is doing great! We highly recommend Eddie for drum lessons.

My drumming has much improved since I took lessons from Eddie. He has a lot of experience both as a professional drummer and as a teacher. The lessons are well structured and much attention is paid to personal level and musical interests. He's able to explain the theoretical and practical side of drumming. And also very important, it's fun having drum lessons from Eddie!

I am delighted to recommend Maryanne Kremer-Ames as a guitar teacher. She is simply wonderful. I feel that studying with her has made me not just a better guitarist but also a better musician, as my ear for music has steadily developed in a way that allows me to appreciate all kinds of music more deeply. After going through four guitar teachers in seven years, I finally found Maryanne and have never looked back. I can truly say that since studying with Maryanne, I have learned how to • Improve the quality of sound I get from my guitar • Get the most out of my practice time • Phrase the music I am learning so I am truly making music instead of just hitting the right notes • Conquer difficult passages by breaking them down into smaller chunks so I can more readily identify the underlying problem that is holding me back • Lock in the correct fundamentals of posture, hand position, fingernail shape, and so on that will improve my sound and increase my joy in playing • Prepare for playing in front of an audience As a teacher Maryanne is patient and easy to work with. She creates a pressure-free learning environment in which everything is adapted to my individual goals and needs. Thanks to her positive approach, I really enjoy the lessons – they actually offer relief from my daily stress! I can’t say enough good things about her as an instructor. She’s definitely the best guitar teacher I have ever had.

Learning guitar from Maryanne is a blessing. She's nice, patient, professional, and has her own approaches of teaching which I found very effective and inspiring. She is also a great person to talk to about cultures and musics or anything else. I enjoyed classes with her and it made my enjoy guitar even more!

This service is great - I used to wait in my car trolling Facebook while my son had his piano lesson at his old studio. Now I get an hour and a half back every week while he works and I don't have to drive. Highly recommend Traveling Music Lessons. So much better than before.

I have been playing drums since 1982. Back in 1997, right before I moved to Phoenix AZ, I stopped playing for around 16yrs. When I got back to playing I tried to improve my technique and skills by myself and to some degree I did get better, however I noticed that advanced techniques and pieces of music were taking my body (hands and feet) a while to adjust to and I was experiencing a bunch of stiffness in my right forearm. I knew then that I could only get so far on my own and needed professional guidance, especially if I was going to get back out there playing live. I got with Lou a few months ago and he has not only corrected my technique, but my speed is coming about much faster, no more forearm stiffness, I'm learning at a much faster rate, I'm learning different styles of music, music and grooves that were hard for me to pick up on are much easier to learn, and my confidence in my playing is at it's highest. If your going to use a professional drum instructor I highly recommend Lou Stavris. He comes from a long line of drummers and has been playing professionally since his early teen years. Learn from somebody that knows what it takes to play professionally.

Our middle school son has been attending private 1hour drum sessions with Lou for a year now. Because of Lou, he was the youngest drummer to make the Jazz band cut. Lou is a solid teacher. Always on time and flexible to make up missed lessons instead of going without - which my son loves. Lou also has two drum sets, so if the students lesson session goes well, the last few minutes are trying out skills on the full acoustic sets together. We were referred to Lou by the Band Director at West Point because one of his students improved so much in a 6month time period, that he asked who his instructor was - and that's how we met Lou. His prices and policies are fair and, most importantly, our son doesn't want to go elsewhere after a year! 'Nuff said.

I've been taking lessons with Lou for around 4 years and he is great. It got me out of sticking to one style of music and becoming more open to jazz, Latin, and other styles of music which have helped me become a better player in jazz band at school. I would defiantly check out taking lessons at drum chops, you start our simple and move one to more advanced stuff.

I hired Gerry for my mother's funeral service, after another musician I had been working with didn't work out. And at the last minute, when I was in a pinch and getting stressed, Gerry graciously jumped in to help me out. Gerry performed amazingly (I even saw the Catholic priest tapping his feet and moving!) Gerry made the service a great experience for my family and I deeply appreciate what he did for us. Gerry is a genuinely nice individual and a very kind and compassionate person. He made an impact on all my family members with his heartfelt performance. I would HIGHLY recommend Gerry for any musical needs! Awesome person!

My Husband and I chose Gerry for our music lessons and we're very happy we did! My husband is learning guitar and I am learning keyboard. He is very proficient and knowledgable in both. His approach to teaching is fun and unconventional... meaning I wasn't just sitting there trying to read notes that made no sense to me. I learned quite a bit in one lesson and am actually enjoying the learning process. Thanks, Gerry!

Gerry is very good at what he does. I LOVE that he comes to my home and gives me one-on-one attention. He makes time to answer my silly questions without judgement. Good teacher and good person. I recommend him!

Jim has been an excellent teacher for my 2 seven-year old boys. He is very methodical, each lesson building on the previous lessons. I am a musician (piano, trumpet, trombone) so I appreciate that Jim is teaching my boys how to be musicians, not just showing them how to beat the drums. At first I was skeptical about the need for an hour-long lesson, but now I know that there is an awful lot to being a true drummer. I highly recommend Jim to anyone, young or old, looking to learn how to play the drums.

My 5-year old son had his first lesson with Jim this afternoon. We appreciated Jim's knowledge, and skill but most importantly, his patience. He took his time teaching my 5 year old the proper method of holding the drum stick and we noticed improvement and growth right away. We made sure to book our next session for the following weekend. My son is very anxious! Thank you Jim!

About

Hello! After studying drumset performance at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City, I have recently relocated to Phoenix, Arizona to begin teaching and performing. I first began studying percussion and drumset over eight years ago; since then, I have performed in major venues and festivals including the Monterey Jazz Festival (California), Montreux Jazz Festival (Switzerland), Umbria Jazz Festival (Italy), Frederick P. Rose Hall (New York City), and Carnegie Hall (New York City). Additionally, I have performed with notable artists such as Brice Winston, Charles McPherson, Ray Drummond, and Jason Carder. I have had extensive experience performing and teaching many styles of music including jazz, rock, hip hop, and latin. However, I am just as enthusiastic about teaching beginners the basic fundamentals of percussion and the drumset. My home studio, located just off of 46th St. and Chandler Blvd. in Ahwatukee, is fully equipped with two drumsets and other teaching materials. But I will commute to students' homes/studios for lessons, if requested. I look forward to meeting and working with you!

I have a superior ear for this hobby that I've grown to love so much! I have played the trumpet, drums and guitar (strings) well enough to teach others sufficiently regardless of playing level and have played piano, sax, flute and french horn well enough to teach someone in their beginning years.

About

I offer drum lessons. I've been teaching students of all ages, from beginner to advanced, drawing from my many years of professional experience in the studio and live playing as well as touring. We combine what the student is interested in (more so for advanced) and what they need work on. To get you playing with less effort, more control, better ideas, on top of a very solid groove, I am using traditional books and years of teaching experience. I also offer music lessons, covering beginning piano. The student learns how to read and play notes, rhythms, chords, melodies and scales. I also teach bass guitar. The students will learn to read rhythms, notes on instrument and scales, approach to good technique, articulation and read tab and standard music.
