Drum Lessons (for children or teenagers)
Eddie is an excellent instructor!! This was my son's first drum lesson and he left Eddies session confident and eager to learn more! We look forward to coming back !!Oct 27, 2016Verified
Eddie is absolutely one of the most fun and passionate individuals I have ever worked with. From the get go Eddie has a plan when starting lessons with one, the results show much quicker then one thinks as well. My chops and overall touch and feel have changed dramatically since I took drum lessons with Eddie. Eddie is also flexible and if you have something in mind that you want to learn like a song for example; Eddie is more then willing to oblige. Overall, I had a great experience and I highly recommend Eddie Vallee to anyone young or old who wants to take drum lessons with him!Jul 31, 2013
Our son has been going to Eddie for two years now and he is an outstanding teacher. Jonathan is blind in one eye and can't see out of the other and Eddie has always accommodated to his needs. We moved out of the Phoenix area about 6 months ago and continue to do the online lessons with Eddie. Jonathan looks forward to his lessons every week and is doing great! We highly recommend Eddie for drum lessons.Jul 31, 2013
While home schooling my child finding a fun and exciting musical instrument for her to learn music was not easy. After the first drum lesson with Eddie, My daughter excelled in drums. Eddie brings the highest quality of education to teaching drums. I recommend Eddie to every parent I meet.Jan 24, 2012
Eddie has been a fantastic teacher, and I highly recommend him to anyone searching for a drum instructor in the Phoenix area. His knowledge of different styles and his excellent technique make him the perfect instructor for anyone wanting to develop their skills as a drummer. As a professional piano player wanting to develop his percussion ability, I think Eddie's a phenomenal teacher who's extremely amicable and easy to get along with while still able to push his students to improve and have fun making music. Definitely check him out!Aug 18, 2014Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My lessons are simply $20 per half hour. If you prefer a one hour lesson, it's $40. Because I don't teach at a store I'm able to charge $5-10 less per lesson. Stores charge the teachers a room fee. I don not have this. I also provide everything you need regarding materials at no charge. This includes lesson material, charts, audio recordings, video recording etc...
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I invite the student and the parent over for an evaluation. There, they get to meet me, see my home, my studio and also meet my family. I explain how I work, with the purpose of setting specific mutual expectations. I also question and evaluate the student and use the fact finding session to develop a long-term lesson plan using short term goals, long term goals focusing on the students desires.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I attended Knapp School of Music and studied with Skip Layton, I also studied with several private drummers/teachers when I was younger. I'm always self-studying currently via many sources.
