Cordell Came to our home and did a complete inspection of the infestation situation and a perimeter review of the full exterior of the house, during which he noticed that our lemon tree was also infested with termite and had killed a large section of the tree. the work he described and the price quoted was the best of the two inspections. the work more extensive and the timeline for completion quick. the workman who performe the work did so in a professional way. He made certain that all areas were left clean and neat. we recommend this company to others in need of professional, caring, reasonably priced companies.

The exterminator was wonderful and got the job done. I have dogs and she was very understanding of that. If I have any issues between visits, they will come out for free. They give me piece of mind.

This business responded by text within minutes after I explained my bee problem online. They were out the next morning at the exact appointment time and took care of the issue promptly at a very reasonable price. GREAT job guys! BTW........another extermination company I had previously used for a termite problem quoted me $250 MINIMUM (outrageous)

I have waited a year to write this review and I can tell you Simply Green does a great job. I have never seen a bug inside my house. No spiders, no roaches... We did have a hard time getting rid of ants last summer but Simply Green always listened to my concerns and if I’m home while they are exterminating, they always ask me if there’s anything specific they need to address. The employees are very kind as well! This is a top notch exterminating company.

I have them come over to exterminate ticks and cockroaches. It killed all the roaches but the ticks are still crawling. I think he needed to use stronger spray.

I could not have asked for a better person than John to treat the bed bug infestation I was dealing with. John was extremely thorough in giving his thoughts on the situation and how to treat it, his estimate was spot on and a fair price compared to numerous other competitors we received estimates from. John was followed up with me to ensure there were no more bed bugs. If you want a reliable, knowledgeable, and dependable exterminator John is the man to hire and Thermanix is the company to consider. Thanks again for everything!

Couldn't be happier with them. Jonathan was more than courteous in explaining and answering all of my questions. Our exterminator was extremely knowledgeable and spent time going through our home. I had an appointment scheduled for the first visit and that night heard scratching in our attic. I called Jonathan in a panic and he sent someone out the next day. They don't nickel and dime like all the other pest services and really seem to be more interested in eradicating the issue than anything else.

Eric is very knowledgeable on all the pests in the area. He always wants to know what they are before he treats (destroys) them..."investigate before you spray"....so you don't use more pesticides than necessary.... very trustworthy and looks out for humans and animals....

Very professional and highly recommended. We recently moved here. When we searched for a pest control service we had no idea what to expect. The exterminator was very patient with us and explained everything. We were told there may be some bug activity after the first spray and that they would come out for free if needed. We had a couple of bugs but nothing to call them back. They came one month later (to break the egg cycle). We’ve been bug-free ever since.

I have used Bug-Tec for about a year now and I am very pleased with the service I have received. The employees I have dealt with for my services are always professional and prompt. The prices are responsible and they care about the job they do. I have dog/cats and I feel that the chemicals they use in my home are safe for them. l would recommend Bug-Tec to my family and friends and anyone in need of an Exterminator.

Such an amazing small company. Both owners are so knowledgeable in all they do. Clean and proffessional, never have to worry about them coming when I'm not home as I know I can trust them in my home even if I'm not there. I would highly recommend them to anyone. In fact, I often do!

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How do you get bed bugs and how do you get rid of them?

The increase in bed bug infestations in the U.S. is a result of increased travel, lack of knowledge about preventing infestations, increased resistance of bed bugs to pesticides, and ineffective pest control practices, explains the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). It’s easy to mistake bed bugs for carpet beetles or similar-looking bugs, so infestations are often not noticed when they first occur. Prevention tips include keeping areas free of clutter, regularly washing sheets and mattress covers in hot water (and don’t forget to wash the laundry bag, too), and vacuuming regularly and safely disposing of the sealed vacuum bag. Not everyone has reactions to bed bug bites, which also may be mistaken for the bites of other pests such as mosquitoes, so timely bed bug extermination depends on identification of bed bug activity. If you notice physical signs of an infestation, contact a bed bug extermination professional as soon as possible to learn about chemical and non-chemical (such as heat) treatment options. An integrated pest management plan may incorporate one or more methods.

How do you get rid of termites?

The best way to get rid of termites is to act fast. Termites are a problem that will only get worse — and no matter how much you want them to, they usually don’t magically move out on their own. There are three main types of termites: drywood, dampwood and subterranean. Drywood and dampwood termites sneak through cracks in your exterior paint, nail holes, and gaps near windows and other openings and begin to eat through your wood. Subterranean termites enter your house from the ground up by creating mud tunnels. In all cases, they survive by eating the wood of your house. The type of termites you have can steer the treatment plan.

Methods of termite extermination include fumigation, use of pesticides, and use of natural elements that are poisonous to the bugs. The extent of your termite infestation will help determine the treatment method. If you have drywood or dampwood termites that have infiltrated all aspects of the wood in your home, the pest control pro may recommend enclosing the whole house in a tent and gassing the termites via fumigation. If you have subterranean termites, often the entire footprint of the home must be treated by drilling liquid treatments into the slab or foundation of the home to exterminate the colonies. In any case, once you see signs of termites, it’s time to take action and call a pest pro.

What do pest control companies do?

Pest control companies handle all aspects of bug, rodent and animal extermination or removal. Pest control professionals visit your home or office to identify the type of pest that is troubling you and offer various treatment plans — complete with clearly outlined costs. Once you and the pest control company have a signed agreement, the pro will begin treatment. Pest treatment can range from the use of spray pesticides and gel bait to live and/or kill traps. There are a wide range of types of pesticides, many of them nontoxic for humans and other small animals. This means you may be able to have your home treated for pests without harming nearby wildlife or your dog and cat. The pest control pro will carry out the treatment plan and, depending on the service agreement, provide follow-up such as emptying traps, inspecting access points, or reapplying pesticide spray if the pests return. Costs will vary based on the type of pest you are having removed and the extent of the infestation. The average national pest control price range is $80-$130. From a minor bedbug event to an entire home termite infestation, pest control companies have got you covered.

How much does it cost to remove a mouse?

If you have a mouse in your house you’re probably quickly researching pest control costs. Mice, although tiny, can transmit diseases and also get into your food and leave unsanitary droppings around your home. If you have seen one mouse in your house, it’s likely that more have taken up residence in your crawl space, attic or basement. The national average pest control cost is $150-$200. Costs can vary depending on whether you need to get rid of a population of living mice or just dispose of a dead mouse (or full traps), how extensive the mouse population is, and where you live in the country. Here are some examples of average pest control cost for removing a mouse:

    • $150 for initial trap setup and inspection (and sealing of entry holes).
      • $50 for rodent removal service calls and emptying of traps. This visit can also include identifying and sealing entry points that were not sealed on the first visit.
    • Rodent extermination: $110-$350, depending on how heavy the rodent population is, whether the mouse infestation poses health risks, how many entrances exist and how many rodent bait stations are needed.

How much does it cost to kill bed bugs?

The cost of bed bug extermination depends primarily on how widespread the pest infestation is and how many rooms need to be treated. Other factors that can affect bed bug extermination costs are the amount of clutter in the location, additional furniture that needs to be treated, and construction of the home. Pest management professionals often have rates for room treatments, which can vary based on these factors. As an example, a pest management company treating a 10-by-15-foot room with light infestation might charge clients about $250, while the same size room with a heavy infestation and large amounts of clutter might cost the clients $300-$400. Clutter and heavier bed bug populations mean more product and longer labor time for the workers. Rates will vary from company to company, and from region to region, but the national average bed bug extermination cost is $320-$400. Bed bug heat treatments are an alternative way to exterminate these pests. Heat treatments are typically charged per square foot and tend to cost more than chemical or non-chemical spray solutions. Although effective, they are not usually recommended for occupied spaces, as the extreme temperatures can damage televisions, window dressings and other home furnishings.
