I am a junior in college and have used Arbor Tutors to help me succeed and become a more efficient student. I love how you can split your hours between different tutors. I was able to use some hours for chemistry, some hours for calculus and some hours for English. Five-star service all the way.
I am in my second year of homeschooling and although my son, who is six, is not having any difficulties at the moment, homeschooling is still new to me and I was hoping I could find someone who would keep us accountable and help fill in any gaps in my son's schooling. Maurice is the answer. He is engaging and encouraging and has been helpful in sharing strategies and teaching techniques that foster comprehensive learning and not merely memorization. And most importantly, my son looks forward to his time with Maurice.
Becky Flowers is a fantastic resource for both college test prep and subject matter tutoring. She is incredibly savvy, very responsive, treats her students with respect and is never afraid to push when necessary. I have used her services for both my kids, for both college test prep, college application essays, and for subject matter tutoring. One of my kids is now pursuing his Masters Degree in Quantitative Finance and the other is now a sophomore at a highly rated university. Ms. Flowers has been there every step of the way. I can't recommend her services highly enough!
this guy really know's his stuff
MoJoe was my tutor for A&P and I know that my A's would have been B's without his amazing tutoring and encouragement. Recently I took my daughter to MoJoe for Algebra tutoring ... suddenly she doesn't hate math! MoJoe has an amazing ability to teach AND to inspire. A rare combination, in my opinion.
I called Michelle to inquire about getting a Math tutor for my son Logan who has been absent from school for an extended period due to a heart condition. He had fallen behind in his work and needed help desperately! I had a tutor lined up with another company but unfortunately after waiting for over a week for our sessions to begin, he called the night before we were to begin and told me he would be unable to keep his appointment and wanted to reschedule. I decided to look for another company and I saw the advertisement for East Valley Tutoring. Michelle was absolutely fantastic to speak with and promptly found me an excellent tutor for Logan who agreed to come over for all 3 of the days I had requested. Even on such short notice , she found me an excellent tutor named Janelle who arrived the next day, right on time and was ready to begin helping my son. She was very polite and kind, well spoken and very skilled at her work. Logan was instantly comfortable with her, as were my husband and myself. She really explained the work in detail to Logan, making sure he absolutely understood every step. She was such a tremendous help so quickly! She offered to help him in Language Arts also, another area he needs help in. I have subsequently booked Janelle for another 8 sessions and am looking forward to Logan being able to return to school and be able to keep up with the work his class is doing in his absence. I highly recommend Michelle and East Valley Tutoring to anyone looking for a highly skilled tutor who will arrive on time as promised, with a friendly personality and the desire to help the student succeed. Janelle is an outstanding tutor and East Valley Tutoring is the only place I will call from now on.
My son was having a hard time with understanding algebra 1 and we were also always arguing about homework - no peace in this situation. He also did NOT want a tutor. Within two weeks, he changed his attitude because the tutor was really getting him to understand algebra. The twice a week sessions got him through all the homework too, so my son got his video game privileges back! THAT made him happy!! Now going into geometry we are still keeping the same tutor and schedule. Our tutor also helps with prepping for tests, keeping our son's backpack organized and structure for writing his English papers. Our son also thinks his tutor is "cool". All and all this is a great thing for our family.
FASTrack Tutors & Test Prep brought me into contact with Mark Kover, who is undoubtedly the best tutor that I have ever worked with. I first met Professor Mark as a struggling 8th Grade Math student, almost certain that I was not going to pass the Math course I was taking at the time. Mark was not only able to help me raise my grade to something passable and substantial, but he even helped me earn an A in the course! Since then, I have worked with Mark as needed, and his guidance and advice has been invaluable in many situations. I would highly recommend Mark for ACT Test Prep, as his testing strategies utilize speed and accuracy, which are the skills needed to succeed on the ACT. With his instruction, I was able to raise my ACT score several points from my previous attempt in merely one weeks time! That ACT score aided me into being accepted to all of the colleges I was considering attending. When it comes to the ACT, Mark will undoubtedly give any student better results than if they were to study with a variety of other tutors, or spend hours attending large group ACT Prep Seminars. One of the most important traits Mark possesses that makes him a great teacher is that he cares about his students' lives outside of their Math Textbook. This makes him not only a tutor, but also a friend and a mentor. He understands that academic success can correlate with success in areas of life outside the classroom. This is an understanding that not all teachers have, and I can say from personal experience that Mark goes above and beyond to make a difference in other's lives.
We had Remy as a tutor for our daughter for several years. She was wonderful. If you need help with anything, from essays to Algebra and more -- she is a great resource. Our daughter is now a sophomore in college and just finished the semester with straight A's. Remy is kind, patient and a great tutor!
I am professional, dedication, and diligent with regard to all aspects of my life. I have always worked hard throughout school, as well as with any concurrent or subsequent jobs. I work in healthcare, as I have an unwavering passion for helping others in all aspects of life. I have ADHD myself, which consequently lead me to develop my own study methods as the typical one's didn't seem to work as well. I have the ability for edification of the same material, presented in multiple fashions.
