FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was able to draw since I was able to hold a pencil. When I attended college, I knew that fine art wasn't for me, and it was a huge challenge to make it in that world. When I started "drawing" on a computer, a whole new realm was opened up for me. With my love for the vintage era and my skills in electronic design work, Graphic Design was the career for me. It allows me the freedom to balance my family and work life, and gives me the opportunity to help positively impact the community both locally and abroad.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common types of jobs are logo/brand identity design and print design. I do a lot of posters/flyers that are used in print and electronically. Over the last year, social media graphics have taken a huge turnaround and a lot of my clients are now actively using social media, of which I design a lot of branded graphics for that purpose.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently created a logo and flyer for an event series called GoodSoil, based out of the DC area. The series calls close to my heart, because they focus on green eating, organic farming and sustainability. A few years ago, I got real into this scene by changing my diet, where I purchase my food, and even growing my own. So when this client contacted me about their design needs, I just knew I had to take it on. No questions!
