Don't pay the same to record out of someone's home. We are one of the few busy studios successfully recording music, commercials, podcasts, audiobooks and post-production for games and films out of our commercial recording facility since 2007. Our current producer/engineers specialize in rock, punk, metal and country, with credits on projects for the late BJ Thomas, Flotsam & Jetsam, and artists on Metal Blade Records. But we have also recorded a lot of rap and R&B artists including sessions for Busta Rhymes, Ludicris and Puff 100. Located near Elliot and Arizona Ave. Our engineers boast credits on hundreds of albums for both local and even Grammy award-winning artists. Recording, mixing, mastering, media transfers, and even video streaming services. Let us do as much or as little as your project needs. SER Soundworks was amazing. I live out of state and flew in to Arizona for my graduation back in December. As a gift to myself, I decided to go into the studio to record pieces for my spoken word album. This was a first experience for me and they were absolutely amazing. If I'm ever in Arizona, I'll definitely go back to record more. Highly recommend.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our rates normally start at $65/hr but first time Thumbtack referrals enjoy a $50/hr discounted rate their first session on request. For those sessions, any recording/mixing is a $100 minimum charge. Anything taking over 2-hours is $50/hr. We also have all kinds of hourly rehearsal rooms with variable pricing and some video services including a green-screen and the ability to film a session with GoPro cameras and such at an additional charge. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Free studio tours, a $50 deposit and/or authorized card-on-file reserves a studio and engineer appointment. Someone is usually here to answer the phone and help with scheduling from 11am until whenever the last scheduled band/artist leaves for the night.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The lead engineer has a BA in Music (with an audio production emphasis) and masters degree in Audio Production. All other engineers here have at least an associate's degree in audio production or equivalent certifications in audio.
