Have them demo their current skill, explain song goals, genres, ask about tuning the guitar or if any equipment is needed. Talk about scheduled appointments and also any questions or misunderstandings about sheet music and rhythm.

So I have had 3 years of guitar classes in High School, I was already playing Bat Country by Avenged Sevenfold at this point
