Introduction: I joined the Union, Local 408, in 2000. My four-year apprenticeship was all high-end woodworking. I was always told "quality over quantity."
This is the mindset of a finish carpenter. In 2004, I began my own construction business working for investors flipping homes. My work was focused on complete home remodels.
I implemented demolition of structures and gutting interiors, building home additions, framing, drywall, taping and texturing.
I also did installing of doors, cabinets, windows, trim work and tile, and also painting interior and exterior.
I have some electrical and plumbing experience.
My father was part of Union for over 45 years, and we learned this trade growing up with working on jobs with him, and both of his boys followed in his footsteps.
My brother, Jarrod Olson stayed with the Union and continued to do high-end finish work. As of recently, he has joined me in Olson Construction, and now, this is a brother-owned and -operated business.

Our garage doors were in dire need of repair and serious in-depthwork. We were fortunate to have Justin come to our home to deal with the project as part of another business. We had not anticipated the depth of the job involved at first. Once we became aware of it, we were truly glad to have Justin there to do all of the necessary work. He needed to remove the wooden doors completely; recut every single piece of the door; treat all of the pieces; carefully measure all of them out; and finally, stain them. This was all accomplished with intense care and diligence. Justin appeared to be a master at work; somewhat of an artist. Yes, this job did take rather longer than we initially expected; but the outcome of the job was far beyond expectation. Our doors look fabulous! As a note, Justin did have an associate who would assist him; and they also cleaned up everything upon completion. We recommend Justin to any of our friends and acquaintances who may require any of the skills that he possesses to help them out.
