Introduction
I have been a teacher & elementary school administrator for almost 25 years. As a building principal, I could never pay my teachers for all the times they went above-and-beyond and deserved extra pay; but I could cook for them. Soon, I was never short on volunteers as they knew I would make them a great dinner. Cooking for my teachers is where the passion began; and that’s how it all started. Never could I imagine the joy I got from cooking good food for good people. From there, Rosey’s "little kitchen" was born. We are serving up a modern take on traditional latin dishes (at an affordable price). We are a Latin Fusion with Modern Flavors; inspired dishes from Mexican, Puerto Rican, Cuba, Uruguay, the Caribbean, etc. Some Traditional dishes 2.0 ! We cater Corporate/Private/Educational Events and Weeknight Home Dinners for the Family. I have been diligently researching and developing great counterpart dishes for Vegans, Vegetarians, and now NightShadeFree (AIP) sensitivities.

WOW, service with a smile AND delicious food! Its been a while since Ive actually finished eating out and been this satisfied and happy. Tonight I had coconut rum shrimp it was sinfully delicious. The elote was wonderful. I splurged on some spicy guacamole to dip some chips in later that was a creamy delight!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    Rosey's Cocinita values the incredible work teachers. health-workers, military & our first-responders do and there's nothing better than making good food for good people at a good price. We also offer Large Party Discounts in addition to discounts to educators, health-care workers, military and first-responders. We have a variety of menu packages, but will work with each customer to fit almost any budget.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    Almost 15 years ago, as a school administrator, I started cooking for teachers that volunteered to help with special projects. Soon, I was never short for volunteers and I never could imagine how great it felt to cook good food for good people. That started my passion for cooking for my teachers and as I am getting closer to retiring from education, I decided to make the catering business official and hopefully be able to retire sooner than later from school and work full-time as a caterer and hopefully get a food truck and eventually a brick-n-mortar restaurant.
