- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. Discovery Session (30 min, $20) We discuss your specific challenges, goals, and learning style. I assess where you’re starting from and what’s not working in your current approach. This session helps us both determine if we’re a good fit to work together. 2. Customized Approach Based on what I learn in our discovery session, I develop a targeted tutoring approach tailored to you—not generic, one-size-fits-all instruction. I focus on the gaps between how topics are taught in school and how they actually work in practice. 3. Ongoing Sessions We work through material systematically. I adjust pacing and methods based on what’s working for your learning style. After each session, I recap what we covered and outline what’s coming next. 4. Regular Check-ins Every 4 sessions, we step back and assess progress. If something isn’t working, we adjust the approach. 5. Communication Between Sessions You can reach out with quick questions between sessions via ***** or ****, though substantive new topics are best covered in paid sessions.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Formal Education: - Master’s degree in Data Science - Bachelor’s degree in Computational Mathematics - Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering Professional Experience: - 4+ years as a full-time educator/teacher, working directly with students across different learning levels and styles - Published researcher in computational material science with work applied to AI development - Deep expertise in translating complex quantitative concepts from professional/research settings into student-friendly explanations - Peer tutoring throughout college, helping students bridge gaps from foundational concepts to advanced applications Why this matters for you: My dual bachelor’s background means I understand both the mathematical rigor AND the engineering applications. My master’s in data science keeps my knowledge current and advanced. Unlike typical tutors, I don’t just teach formulas—I show you how these concepts actually work in technology, science, and industry. My 4+ years teaching means I know how to explain difficult ideas clearly. Combined, this gives you access to someone who deeply understands the subject matter, knows how to teach effectively, and can show you why this stuff actually matters.
