Joe was AMAZING!!! He met with me twice before the actual wedding, first to have our meet and greet. I knew right away we would get along great. Then met with him to turn in our song list, he has a whole schedule that is great to go off of to make your wedding run smoothly. The day of my wedding he took great care of me and my husband making sure we had our alcohol with dinner then he made sure we had champagne for toasts. He kept everything on schedule and even rounded the bridal party for our grand introduction. Thank you so much Joe for being so great and such a nice guy! And using our song requests. We even gave him a YouTube song for the ceremony and he ended up being able to play that for me! Thanks again sooo much Joe! :) I highly recommend hiring him to anyone!

Jules was great! She did me, my entire bridal party, and the two moms, and everyone looked and felt gorgeous! Her associate Courtney did all of our hair which also came out fantastic! My makeup and hair lasted all night! On top of that, they were both a pleasure to be around! I highly recommend them both!

We hired Carlyn as our florist and day-of coordinator for our March 14th wedding. Best decision ever! Carlyn was attentive and easy to coordinate with. She responded quickly to emails and calls and worked with our schedules for meeting to discuss details. We didn’t have a full color scheme when we started, which could have been frustrating for a florist. But Carlyn was so patient and found the most beautiful colors to pull everything together. She knew our budget and was straightforward about what we could do for that amount. We prioritized bouquets, centerpieces, and other arrangements, as well as the flowers we wanted, which was really helpful. Day-of was incredible. We didn’t have to worry about a thing! When she dropped off the bridal party bouquets we couldn’t believe how pretty they were. When we arrived at the venue and saw the centerpieces and overall setup we were blown away. It was exactly as I had pictured it – even better. We couldn’t believe it. We have received so many compliments for the outstanding job she did. Carlyn is one of the most passionate people I have ever met. She takes so much pride in her work and it’s incredibly important to her to make her clients happy. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience before, during, or after our big day. Thank you Carlyn! We couldn’t have done it without you!

I hired Robin as a wardrobe consultant after losing 60 lbs. I am 5'0" so I had some concerns about making sure I worked with someone that understood size and portion. I corresponded with Robin several times and then meet her for Coffee. We clicked right away. I feel that Robin really understood my wants and needs. I couldn't wait to hire her. The first thing she tackled was clearing my closet out of items that were too big, too old, too faded. Wow was that hard. But she was patient and understanding. The first night she even brought a few items to repopulate with that were perfect for me. She then came back twice with small purchases as we got a feel for what worked on me, what I liked (I am super conservative) and what I still needed to buy. Then we went on a major shopping trip. Wow. That was a great experience, and I hate shopping. She had the dressing room ready before I got there. I had tons to try on (I can never find anything myself). My closet is full. Next we are going to do accessories and a couple of other key pieces. I am so excited! Not only do I recommend Robin as a wardrobe consultant, I plan to continue to use her services. I am thrilled with how I look. If anyone reading this wants to ask more specific questions, please ask Robin for my contact information, I would be happy to talk about what a great experience I had. (am having).

I highly recommed Sherrie. I have worked with stylists in the past but Sherrie's background and level of experience is hard to come by. She really understands how to develop a wardrobe that is flattering, versatile and importantly, relevant to your actual lifestyle. Despite putting a lot of effort into my wardrobe, I never felt satisfied with the result. For reference I am in my 50's. I knew I needed help, but I also knew that in-store stylists were not the answer. "Free" style advice is usually worth what you pay for it. Sherrie introduced me to new silhouettes, brands and shops. I now feel more like myself than I have in years. My wardrobe is current while being age appropriate and I no longer struggle with what to wear. On my last trip I was able to pack without any anxiety because everything works! I am looking forward to working with Sherrie on my Fall/Winter wardrobe.

working with Cy account management services was one of the most rewarding experiences I've ever had to deal with my own business not only did they create an amazing logo that also helped me with my branding and everything else CY continued to go above and beyond to make sure that not only I was happy but that my company was going in the right direction Cy account management services also made sure even after I had to file bankruptcy and almost lost my business that I was on the right track with training my employees to make sure that any advertising and marketing and future business was obtained and I owe my successful business that I have to this day to Cy acc management services. A 5 star company I strongly recommend this company for anything from logo design to branding, training, consulting, advertising and accounting.

I have utilized Carmen's services to assist me with professional style, self-branding and outfits for big events for the past 5 years. What impresses me most about Carmen is she is very professional and doesn't push her style on you; she assists you with finding yourself, your own style, and what you feel comfortable in. Carmen's hands-on approach will help you find a style and image that projects your most true self. Carmen is also very patient with me and goes above and beyond to assist me a very impatient and color blind person when it comes clothes, accessories and shopping. You will not be disappointed with her services; she has a natural born talent for this.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What does a wedding event coordinator do?

Pulling off a large, complex wedding or an elegant, small affair requires juggling myriad details, including the officiant, food, drink, wedding cake, entertainment, transportation, rehearsal dinner, photography, equipment rentals, venue reservations and more. A wedding event coordinator can help you keep track of these details, overseeing the planning process and managing everything on the day of your wedding. Each wedding coordinator (and wedding) is different, but in general you can expect an event coordinator to:

  • Help you devise a realistic wedding budget and hold your vendors to it.
  • Map out a master plan that includes all of the details including ceremony music, favors, the guest book and more.
  • Suggest ceremony and reception locations that fit your wedding size, budget and vision.
  • Suggest florists, photographers, bands, caterers and other vendors that fit your budget.
  • Negotiate vendor contracts for the best deals.
  • Create a timeline for the day of the wedding that includes each vendor and member of your wedding party.
  • Mail invitations and track RSVPs.
  • Answer questions about wedding etiquette and current wedding trends.
  • Manage the wedding day from supervising vendors and setup to handling last-minute emergencies.

What is a wedding planner?

A wedding planner is a professional service provider whose job it is to organize and execute all the details of a couple’s wedding. A wedding planner can be contracted at any stage in the wedding planning process to help to any degree the couple is willing to pay for. Wedding planning is similar to event planning in that a planning team handles the coordination of multiple wedding elements including catering, venue, guests, entertainment, decor, transportation and more. Anyone who has ever been involved in a wedding can confirm that wedding planning is hard work. Experience brings wisdom when it comes to avoiding or resolving day-of challenges. There is no legal regulatory body that oversees or certifies wedding planning as an industry. Anyone who chooses can call themselves a wedding planner. When looking for a wedding planner, be sure to read reviews, and make smart hiring decisions by asking about licenses and insurance.

How much do day-of wedding coordinators cost?

A day-of wedding coordinator makes sure that every detail of your wedding day goes off without a hitch, and deals quickly and quietly with any last-minute emergencies. For many brides, the day-of wedding coordinator is their best investment! The average national cost for a wedding coordinator is $800 to $1,000. Although full-service wedding coordinators often charge a percentage of the total wedding budget, most day-of coordinators charge a flat fee plus an additional hourly fee if the day runs long. For example, a 15-hour day-of coordination costs an average of $600, plus an additional $45 per hour if the coordinator works more than the planned 15 hours. Another option is to hire a coordinator to manage the last-minute details leading up to the event; for example, 25 hours of month-of coordination costs an average of $1,200. Several factors affect the cost of day-of coordination, including the region, the planner’s experience, and the specifics of the wedding. If the ceremony and reception are in two different locations, expect to pay more than if they’re in the same place. Also, extra details, such as managing food trucks or setting up snacks in addition to the meal, will increase the cost.

What should you ask a wedding coordinator?

When you hire a wedding coordinator, you want to make sure he or she gets you and can execute perfectly your vision of your dream wedding. To find the very best fit, it’s important to ask these five questions:

  • Are you available on my wedding date? If the coordinator isn’t available on your big day, there’s no reason to continue the interview — unless you’re willing to shift your date to accommodate their schedule.
  • What’s average cost of most of your weddings? If the coordinator’s usual wedding is outside your range, they might not be the right coordinator for you. Ask whether the coordinator requires a minimum wedding budget. In general, the wedding coordinator’s fee should be about 15 percent of your budget.
  • What is your speciality? Some coordinators specialize in day-of coordination, some create the overall vision, and others act as a producer. Make sure your wedding coordinator provides the type of services that will most help you create the event you have in mind, such as selecting vendors and handling their contracts, or managing the guest list and invitations.
  • What are your ideas for fulfilling our wedding vision? After you describe your dream wedding — rustic or sophisticated, traditional or funky — the wedding coordinator should be able to suggest appropriate venues, menus, decorations, etc..

Do you have a portfolio? Ask to see photos of their favorite weddings, especially if they’ve managed any that are similar to what you have in mind. This will help you see if you like their style and if their ideas seem fresh and creative.

Do I need a wedding day coordinator?

Even if you’ve handled every detail of planning your wedding, you might appreciate having a day-of wedding coordinator in your corner. Usually, the coordinator meets with you a few weeks before your wedding to put together a detailed timeline of everything that needs to happen on your wedding day. Then, on the big day, the coordinator makes sure everything goes according to plan — and handles any emergencies that pop up, such as party crashers, missing tuxedos, late vendors, disappearing bridal party members and more. Most wedding coordinators also handle:

  • Distributing the wedding day timeline to all of your vendors.
  • Coordinating all of your vendors, including the photographer, florist and baker.
  • Conducting the wedding rehearsal.
  • Helping the bride and her wedding party get dressed and take photos.
  • Checking floor plans, lighting levels, cake placement, menus, favors and more.
  • Collecting the wedding gifts and keeping personal items safe and accounted for.

Even if you don’t think you need a wedding coordinator, check with your venue. Some require that couples hire a day-of wedding coordinator for the day of the event.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
