- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Currently Thumbtacks customers receive an affordable rate of $65 per session, not per hour, per session. The rate increase, effective January, 2024 for new clients, was a result of moving into a new office and a rent increase. I will continue to accommodate customers who, due to their circumstances, find the rate challenging. I have yet to turn a client in need away based on their financial situation.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At the time an appointment is made I ask the client what they want to work on, what issue they want to resolve. Part of their set of Intake forms is tailored to their specific treatment goals, beginning the process of gathering information to shape their treatment plan. Typically the initial session is focused on gathering information, explaining the services I offer and presenting at least one technique the client can begin to use immediately.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA in Psychology and an MA in Psychology, a two year program specifically designed to produce front line practitioners. I have been continuously licensed as a professional since 1975. I am a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, trained in the application of Brainspotting (an outgrowth of EMDR), the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Eden Energy and the Havening Technique. I am a HeartMath Certified Practitioner for addressing stress, anxiety and self-regulation. I attend a minimum of 40 hours of continuing education annually.
