Tucker is a great handyman. He’s an excellent communicator, very detailed oriented and an excellent value. He installed Edison lights in my backyard. What I noticed with Tucker was how much time he invested up front to take accurate measurements & to discuss the plan with me to ensure we were on the same page. While installing the lights, he was meticulous to ensure everything was done correctly. Overall, I’m very pleased with the result. I’m confident recommending him to friends and family.

Tucker did an excellent job on the three tasks I hired him for. He was punctual, communicated effectively, and delivered high-quality work. However, I was disappointed with the lack of clarity regarding his fee structure. His profile lists a rate of $75/hour, but he later informed me of a $125 minimum for the first hour, which wasn’t mentioned upfront. While a minimum fee makes sense for smaller jobs, this wasn’t clearly explained as $125 for the first hour and $75 for each additional hour. Additionally, when Tucker returned to complete the remaining 45 minutes of work due to my scheduling constraints, he charged another $125 minimum. I felt this was unfair, as I had already paid the initial minimum for the job and expected to be charged the standard hourly rate for the additional time. I’ve suggested that Tucker update his profile to clearly outline his fees and discuss them with clients before starting work. Despite the billing issue, his work was commendable, and I’d consider hiring him again if the pricing is transparent.
