From coordinating the ceremony to officiating the wedding, I am thrilled to be a part of your special day! I was licensed to officiate weddings in 2010. I truly enjoy the opportunity to bring two people together in the presence of their loved ones. Once we meet, you will see that I am a professional but my personality is also easy going. I will work with you to tailor your ceremony to your wishes; I provide wedding officiating that will suit your style. I am ready to help make your day extra special! If you need a little extra help coordinating your ceremony, I can be of service too. I have great ideas for your procession and look forward to helping you arrange this final piece of the wedding. I will gladly be present at the rehearsal to step you through it in preparation for the big day!

Melanie was so great!! She really worked with us to make sure our ceremony was exactly what we wanted. One of the first things she said was "Don't worry about hurting my feelings, this is your wedding, not anyone else's". When we said we hadn't even considered readings, she provided tons of examples for us to choose from. Melanie worked very hard to personalize our ceremony so that it reflected us and who we are! Her rates were much more reasonable than other officiants we looked at. I highly recommend her to anyone planning a wedding!!

Melanie did a fantastic job officiating our wedding. We changed some of our plans not far off from our wedding date and contacted her through Thumbtack on short notice. We met with her and she listened to us and was genuinely interested in how we wanted our ceremony. Melanie provided sample ceremonies, readings and vows and during our first meeting we had an outline of our day. Melanie responded to all emails in a timely manner and after a few edits via email, and excellent feedback from Melanie, we had our ceremony ready a few short days later. The day of the ceremony, Melanie arrived early, prepared, and was dressed go well with our wedding colors. During the ceremony, she spoke clearly, and spoke with a smile. You could tell that Melanie takes pride in her work. After the wedding, our friends and family told us how great our officiant was. One of the most important parts of our wedding planning was getting great vendors, and Melanie exceeded all of our expectations. We were thrilled with her performance and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and personable officiant.

Melanie was quick to respond to our reqest for a meeting and was promt to show up. She will be officiating our wedding in October where she offered to dress up in a costume to match our theme. She answered all of our questions and made us feel comfortable to ask more whenever they come to our minds.

Melanie officiated my wedding this last April (2015). When I met with her she made me so comfortable. Admittedly, I had reservations having a female officiate (very conservative), but she had such a pleasant and professional demeanour, my feelings were changed in that instant! She had so many suggestions & ideas. Everything was so organized. She had prepared options for everything from poetry, scriptures, readings, prayers, vows, layouts for the procession, popular songs for the wedding entrance, greetings & more! She was so easy to work with. I loved the personal interview she gave us to find out more about us, our love story, & our personalities. She emailed me answers to any concerns or questions I presented to her. I wasn't fond of the prayer that I had chosen, & she readily offered me to change it in any way I wanted to. She even praised it. She was very professional in her dress & demeanour at the wedding. I'm so happy with all she did for me. It made some of those choices seem more effortless somehow. Thank you for Everything Melanie! I feel I've gained a friend!

Melanie's preparation and professionalism were more than we had anticipated and everything we needed. We were so blessed to have her as our officiant. She provided options to us for parts of our ceremony that we had not thought of and guided us through the selection of other parts of our wedding that made ours truly unique and exceptionally special. She was succinct, generous, patient, positive, happy, prompt, experienced and above all gave us a level of comfort we needed during a very busy time.   • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    None whatsoever. I am affordable! I remember paying my officiant $500 for a mere ten minutes of officiating. That did not sit well with me. I don't want to break your budget so I'll marry you and your bride/groom for less. My price will include travel expenses and a meeting ahead of time to go over your wishes for your ceremony and vows.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    I became an officiant for a friends wedding. I was to be the backup in case the other officiant did not show up due to construction on the road and longer than expected travel times. It turns out I was just a guest after all but still had a strong desire to officiate.
