Pam did a wonderful job officiating our wedding! She had a lot of great ideas and helped us incorporate unique details into our ceremony. She even met up with us about a month or so before the wedding in person to walk through everything and help us feel comfortable with how everything would flow. I highly recommend Pam to other couples looking for an officiant!Nov 28, 2018VerifiedRites of Celebration's reply
Thank you for allowing the honor of officiating your ceremony. You selected a beautiful setting and you are a great couple. Best wishes for many long, and happy years together
Pamela is an amazing officiant. She met with us a month before our wedding & our first meeting I knew she was perfect. She was very kind and supportive of our ceremony wishes, and very professional. Everyone at our wedding raved about how sweet & perfect the ceremony was. We definitely highly recommend her.May 23, 2016Verified
I couldn't have asked for a better Officiant to perform my wedding vows. all I can say is Pam is the best and I would recommend her to anybodySep 28, 2015Verified
Pam insisted on meeting us before the wedding so that she could get to know us and personalize our ceremony. She goes above and beyond what is required of her, so if you are looking for a unique ceremony, I highly recommend her. If you are looking for a boilerplate wedding with minimal intrusion, you should look elsewhere. It is obvious that she officiates weddings because she loves doing it and loves meeting people, not for quick cash.Jan 10, 2015Verified
I chose Pam to officiate my son's wedding which we decided to have at our house on a week night. From the first point of contact with Pam I felt I made the right choice. She was very friendly and eager to connect with the happy couple to learn about them and to personalize the wedding for them. She made the kids feel at ease and created a lovely ceremony. It was easy to tell Pam cared about the process and the people in it. Everyone in attendance with touched by the service which went very smoothly. Pam even took some lovely pictures of the couple after the service was over and shared them with us. I'm thrilled we hired Pam, by the time the wedding arrived we felt like we knew her and she became a member of the family for the night. Thank you Pam!!!Jan 1, 2017VerifiedRites of Celebration's reply
It was my pleasure!
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? For my standard service that includes a "get to know you" session, where we get to know each other, gather information for the service and possibly see the venue. I then design your ceremony and have you preview it. I arrive at least 45 min prior to your wedding, check in with the bride and groom (this is when payment is due) and then officiate your service. After signing the marriage license I depart (approx 1/2 hr after the wedding). This service is $300 and includes a rehearsal if requested. I do commitment ceremonies, renewal of vows and handfastings as well. For a short notice wedding without preplanning, my charge is $125. There is an additional mileage charge if outside the Phoenix metro area.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I am usually contacted by one of the people directly involved with the ceremony and arrange to meet with those involved at a comfortable, informal meeting to gather information for the ceremony. We take the time to establish a comfortable conversation and address some of the overwhelming questions regarding the process. Together we decide the elements to be included and the details of the ceremony. If help with vows or readings are requested, I forward suggestions via email. I create a ceremony uniquely for the couple and reassure them that only two things need to happen --- they need to both show up and they both need to say "I Do" and all the else will fall into place. BREATHE is usually the first thing I say to the couple when they get to the altar. We all relax and get to enjoy the day. (Oh yes, there are usually tears and that is a good thing). I try to offer reassurance and help reduce the stress related to a big day.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work? Before I was ordained I had spent most of my life involved with organized religion and was chosen to help with many ceremonies. I developed a passion for helping people celebrate key points in their lives with celebration. I continue to take classes in spiritual leadership and workshops for my personal growth. I have over 25 years experience in dealing directly with counseling and service.
