Kevin is very good at his trade. He helped repair my computer in a very timely manner replacing hard drive and operating system and had me back up and running in one day. He is also very knowledgeable. I would recommend him to anyone needing computer service. He is also very reasonable compared to shops that have to pay for a office and much faster.

This is definitely the best computer experience I have ever encountered. I had a $1500 laptop that had a BIOS password that no longer worked. I went to eight computer repair shops and three repair shops told me that it would be cheaper to get a new system. The other five said that the mother board is defective and parts were not available for it. USEZTECH came to the rescue and was able to remove the mother board and replaced defective part. Although they warned me about taking longer than expected because the part had to be ordered from an overseas vender, it was definitely worth the wait considering that the laptop has been out of service for seven months. I was even able to track the progress of the work on their website by putting in my phone number and they even posted pictures of the BIOS chip repair under the mother board section of the home page. I am not aware of any other shop being so transparent. If they continue to give this kind of service, I will remain a lifelong customer.

I took a laptop for repair to Jack.. It didn't function properly at all.. It was beyond repair, so he gave me a completely refurbished laptop for the exact same price as the repair would have been.. It was completely a cheap price and I was amazed and grateful.....

Philemon set up my notebook, upgraded the operating system, transferred files, installed a virtual machine so I could access a financial program, installed several security programs and a new version of Microsoft Office. He spent many hours solving difficult problems, many of which resulted from the manufacturer installing the wrong or outdated drivers. There are still some minor bugs but I am in contact with the manufacturer which is the only source of correcting these minor problems. Phil is an extremely personable IT professional and explains what he has done in a clear and direct fashion. He was recommended to me by my ISP and is much more familiar with their protocols than any of their tech reps are. He explained how some of their advice was simply incorrect and fixed problems that not only they could not answer but, in fact, created more problems. It was difficult and tedious work, but he proceeded patiently and directly and returned several times and also contacted me by remote and solved several problems and did not charge me for the extra time. He works tirelessly despite a very challenging personal and professional schedule. I could not recommended a better IT professional.

Fixed my 4S for the price quoted. No bait and switch tactics, no "you need 4 more things fixed" tactics. Simply a great service provided at the price quoted. Have recommended to 3 other people already. A++

I provide good services and make my customers satisfied! I am good in troubleshooting and the stuff related to that.

About

I am a highly motivated, friendly, and clearly dedicated individual who has an ambition to succeed in any given environment. Although I have an extensive experience in multiple fields such as management, I was in charge of a custom cabinet shop for 10 years then head of construction at the largest residential air conditioning company in the United States for 7 years. I found at the end of the day my passion was repairing computers. I am what people would say a perfectionist, but I myself wouldn't call it that. I just care about my customers and put myself in my customers' shoes. Would I want something done only half way and have to pay out of pocket my hard-earned money and then find out that the job that was to be finished by a professional not finished to what I know to be correct or to the best of his ability? Absolutely not! If you need something done and it is explained to me as to what is needed, then I go above and beyond to make that happen for my customers. If you're seeking an honest, caring, and well-experienced computer repairman, well look no further. I am that guy. Give me a call, and we can see what I might be able to do to make you happy about that computer you were once pleased with when you made that first purchase. You and your computer will be as good as Green.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does it cost to fix an iPhone screen?

A broken iPhone screen doesn’t have to mean shelling out major money for a new phone. iPhone repair is an easy solution for a cracked or damaged iPhone screen that will have it looking as good as new in no time. The size of your iPhone will affect screen cost. Another factor that affects iPhone repair cost is whether you want to have your LCD repaired or replaced at the same time that you have your screen fixed. If you have AppleCare (Apple’s insurance), screen repair costs an additional $29 fee. Prices for Apple’s screen repair without AppleCare coverage vary based on your screen size. Here are some examples of average cost from less expensive third-party providers:

  • iPhone 5/5S/5C: $75, full screen replacement including the LCD and digitizer.
  • iPhone SE: $124.99, full screen replacement including the LCD and digitizer.
  • iPhone 6: $99.99, full screen replacement including the LCD and digitizer.
  • iPhone 6 Plus/6S: $125, full screen replacement including the LCD and digitizer.
  • iPhone 7/7 Plus: $174.99, full screen replacement including the LCD and digitizer.
  • iPhone 4/4S: $70, glass and LCD repair.
  • iPhone 5/5S/5C: $80, glass and LCD repair.
  • iPhone SE: $80, glass and LCD repair.
  • iPhone 6: $90, glass and LCD repair.
  • iPhone 6 Plus: $100, glass and LCD repair.
  • iPhone 6S: $110, glass and LCD repair.
  • iPhone 6S Plus: $130, glass and LCD repair.

How much does it cost to fix the Home button on an iPhone?

If the Home button on your iPhone has stopped working, it might be time for professional help. If your Home button problem is caused by a faulty product and you’re under warranty, the repair will be free. However, if you (or your dog who stepped on the phone) are the culprit, there will be a fee for repair. iPhone repair costs will vary depending on the model of your phone, who is providing the service, and whether your phone is under warranty or you have the extended warranty called AppleCare. If Apple repairs an iPhone that is out of warranty, the cost will be higher than from a third-party provider. One reason to consider paying more for repair by Apple is that using an outside service for repairs can sometimes void other Apple warranties that are in effect for your iPhone. Home button repair falls under Apple’s “other damage” repair pricing category, which costs a flat fee of $99 under AppleCare. If your phone is out of warranty, here are some of the average prices you can expect to pay to repair a Home button:

  • iPhone 8 Plus: $399.
  • iPhone 8: $349.
  • iPhone 7 Plus: $349.
  • iPhone 7: $319.
  • iPhone 6s Plus: $329.
  • iPhone 6 Plus: $329.
  • iPhone 6s: $299.
  • iPhone 6: $299.
  • iPhone SE: $269.
  • iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5: $269.
  • iPhone 4s: $199.
  • iPhone 4: $149.
  • iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G: $149.

How much is it to fix a water-damaged iPhone?

If your iPhone has been damaged by water, there’s still hope. It often costs less to repair an iPhone than to buy a new phone, and you can save your contacts, photos and other stored data. If you have AppleCare, the extended warranty provided by Apple, your coverage includes two incidents of accidental damage for repair at the rates listed below. Using a third-party provider can save you money; however, once an outside vendor has done work on your phone, your warranty may be voided and Apple may no longer provide service for your phone. Here are Apple’s charges for iPhone repair for water damage (classified as “other damage” on their website):

  • iPhone X: $549.
  • iPhone 8 Plus: $399.
  • iPhone 8: $349.
  • iPhone 7 Plus: $349.
  • iPhone 7: $319.
  • iPhone 6s Plus: $329.
  • iPhone 6 Plus: $329.
  • iPhone 6s: $299.
  • iPhone 6: $299.
  • iPhone SE: $269.
  • iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5: $269.
  • iPhone 4s: $199.
  • iPhone 4: $149.
  • iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G: $149.

How much does it cost to replace the screen on an iPhone 6?

An iPhone screen can crack fairly easily, so it’s always recommended to use a shock-absorbing case and a tempered glass screen protector to help keep your investment safe. Replacing the screen on your iPhone 6 will vary in price depending on which iPhone 6 model you have and who provides the repair. Third-party vendors provide lower-cost service than Apple for iPhone repair, unless you have Apple’s product insurance, AppleCare. Here are some examples of iPhone 6 screen and LCD average repair costs from third-party providers:

  • iPhone 6: $90.
  • iPhone 6 Plus: $100.
  • iPhone 6S: $110.
  • iPhone 6S Plus: $130.

You may prefer to have your iPhone repaired by Apple. If you have AppleCare, your screen repair cost will be $29, but if you don’t have this coverage, iPhone repair will cost more from Apple than from a third-party vendor. Here are some examples of average iPhone screen repair cost when provided by Apple without AppleCare:

  • iPhone 6: $129.
  • iPhone 6 Plus: $149.
  • iPhone 6s: $149.
  • iPhone 6s Plus: $169.

The average national cost for an iPhone technician is $80-$100 per hour
