So far I've been very impressed with Dog Squad U. I really liked the YouTube videos of dog training in action. I was able to get a great feel for how the the trainer works with the dogs and their owners! I had a great idea of what to expect and what questions to ask. I've had an in-home initial evaluation and I was very pleased and impressed with the trainer and training during that time. I'm looking forward to working with Joe and getting help training my puppy.
Had a dog that was left behind due to owner dying here a few years back in mesa az, police wanted to take her to pound,a person said no he would watch her,, it became too much then I did knowing I couldn't keep her due to my small apartment but don't mind fostering meantime my sister and I were doing everything in our power for her not to go to pound.she had some training in epileptic seizures alerts, but no proof.third week in of fostering my sister found seize the leash with Jamie.my sister called told her the issue, we sent pictures via phone told her of the dogs attitude, love and how she even alerted on myself at night when I had spasms due to fibromyalgia.we had a issue with transporting her to Tucson once Jamie accepted her on board with seize the leash family.so that even was worked out, she sent her friend who help with such issues up to mesa a few weeks later and picked up dani, it was bittersweet the goodbye.I knew she was going to a awesome training facility along with other beautiful dogs there as well.we read Jamie's profile and introduction and viewed pictures.through dani s training they sent me pictures then also I viewed them on Facebook,I was so happy and pleased to see her progress and grow into what she was to be doing.also I was seeing the person dani would partner with to guide thru life.amazing, to this day she sends me pics to let me see her and dani.ChoosingJamie would be the wisest decision you make for you and you're beloved pet, she IS the best
Mel responded to our request very quickly and has been very easy to work with. She has been wonderful with our dog, and she's very knowledgeable having vet tech and dog training experience. I highly recommend her!
We did a board and train package with Manners and More and I could not be more pleased with the results. Our little dog Baxter was uncontrollable jumping on us all the time, he had no leash manners at all, would not come when called. We gave him to Nathen and were amazed with the results. Baxter now will stay in a designated space (willingly) when we put him there for as long as we need. He now sits for attention in front of us instead of jumping on us constantly. He has awesome leash manners and he comes to us when called. Baxter went from the worst dog in the house to best trained dog by far. He is a joy to have again. Granted, we had to learn how to command our own dog. We had to learn how to communicate with our dog (included) so the things he learned while away could be duplicated at home. The follow ups were great so that at first if he regressed we were able to address it and get him back on track. Great Trainer! Great Training!
She was on time to the meeting and prepared. Able to answer all of my questions and connected with my dog almost instantly. Lots of progress on the first visit. If I have any dog training questions in the future I'll be using Fido First again.
Joe and Marci were very personable from the very first time we met. I was also impressed with how much they know about dogs! I learned a lot from them at each session and it was actually easy to use their instructions daily to improve our dogs behavior.
She knows her thing! She has long-term goals set up for me, and I am glad to have that arsenal. I would recommend her to anyone needing to do obedience especially. She did not address my specific issue in that I need something NOW as opposed to long-term, although I will implement the long-term goal once we get cooler weather, and when there will be a more likelihood of dogs in the dog park with which to use to help me.
We have a high energy and very active Australian Shepard/Border Collie “Gourmet” 2 year old pup. We had tried every type harness as Turner loved to pull excessively on our daily walks. I reached out to Brenda and she suggested a Gentle Leader and after only 30 minutes of working with Brenda we broke Turner of his pulling habits. Brenda was extremely gentle and made the process so very simply. I’m just sorry I didn’t reach out sooner as I would have far less shoulder pain. Brenda was great to work with.
Joe was very friendly--Sadie liked him right away. We have tried to take Sadie for a walk for 1 1/2 years--she refused, was too scared. Nothing worked no matter how hard we tried. Within the hour Joe was able to teach her to not only tolerate the collar but was able to take her for a short walk (she wanted to go further.) Now Sadie will be able to slim down by taking her walks.-Thanks a lot Joe for a great job!!

I train dogs with behavioral problems and newbies just learning. Patience and consistency are the key to getting the job done. The biggest problem is people tend to treat their pets like they would with humans. Though we love them like our family, they are still animals with specific traits and ways of doing things.
Established in 2008, Desert Dogs has grown from a small, in-home training service to a storefront facility with three professional trainers and kennel staff. Though the company has grown, our main focus has always been on our customers and utilizing the most effective and innovative training techniques. While we continue to expand, we retain our commitment to the community by providing rehabilitation and a foster home for local rescues and their most behaviorally challenged dogs. We participate in many community events and provide a resource for owners to connect with other dog lovers and organizations. We believe that a true canine professional's education is never finished, and furthering our knowledge is imperative. We pride ourselves on becoming proficient in the most effective and progressive techniques of training available. Desert Dogs is licensed and insured for both you and your dog's safety and protection. Even though it is called dog training, it should be called people training for dogs. The most important part of training is how you handle and respond to your dog's behaviors. Dogs and humans don't naturally speak the same language. Training provides an opportunity to open a line of communication that will allow your relationship to become mutually beneficial. By making the training a "way of life", your dog will no longer question when to display appropriate behaviors. The more you practice and implement the training into your everyday life, the faster your dog will learn and the more reliable he will become. Your dog deserves your time and dedication to the training. The more devoted you become, the greater the reward will be.

I love training large dogs who seem aggressive, because I know they can be made into militant partners and obedient friends. Training K-9 dogs taught me to be thankful for my fellow peacekeepers, human and K-9 alike. I am affordable, and I will even train your dog while improving stance mobility and muscle toning.
