- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For Dinner Parties: $75/person (minimum 5 people) or $50/hour + food costs. For Private Cheffing: 50/hour + food costs. For Group and Private Cooking Classes & Cooking Parties: 1 to 3 people $350 Party for 4 to 6 people $475 7-8 $575 per person 9 or more people $75/person 10 or more paying people You attend free as the host or hostess! For a 3 hour Kitchen Coaching Session or Healthy Shopping Tour: $300 For Nutrition/Health/Cooking Coaching By Phone: 1 hour session $125 3 (1 hour) sessions $250 6 (1 hour) sessions $500 10 (1 hour) sessions $700 For 60 minute Corporate Lunch & Learns with sampling of 2 to 3 recipes: $250 per demonstration + $3 to $4/person for food and supplies For 90 to 120 minute presentations with 4 to 6 dishes: $250 per event + $5 to $10/person for food and supplies Note: I charge $25/hour for driving time to go to clients who live more than a 30 minute drive (one way) from central Phoenix (Arcadia area)
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a voracious reader. I read cookbooks, nutrition books, magazines, and blogs. I regularly test recipes from cookbooks that I review and I watch to see what other people in the food/health/cooking industry are doing to make healthy, delicious and beautiful food.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up on processed, packaged foods, and soda. As a result, I suffered from hypoglycemia, constipation, acne, PMS, and depression, and I developed a weight problem in my early teens. Ongoing health issues, along with food sensitivities, led me to discover the nutritious world of whole foods and a produce and protein-rich diet. I learned to cook with natural ingredients and without wheat, dairy, corn, or refined sugar. I am now the culinary tour guide for others that I always wanted for myself. I wanted to share what I learned with others because it made such a difference in my life and because I love to work and play with food.
