My boyfriend and I recently had our signature (first) session with Ingo and the experience was amazing! Before the session, Ingo spent over 30 minutes with me on the phone going over what our current issues are, what our goals are, and how he structures his trainings. Ingo came in very prepared and started by sitting down with us outlining what the next 90 minutes would look like and setting clear expectations. We had a full 90 minutes of watching Ingo work with our dog and then hands on training where we learned how to handle him. Within one session, we've seen significant changes in our dog that have lasted even after Ingo left. We never felt any pressure to commit to a training plan but definitely knew we wanted to continue working with him. He was clear, respectful, and the best priced dog trainer in the Valley. After one session, Ingo provides access to his online learning portal, giving us great resources to continue training on our own in between sessions. You also have access to resources like his amazon store front, training videos, and Ingo himself who has already followed up with additional texts after our session. I'd recommend Ingo to any dog owners looking to improve their relationship with their dog(s)!

I am a first time dog owner of a 8 week old puppy and didnt know what to do after reaching out to another trainer who was no help. Ingo responded quickly and was out to my house in a few days. With running a home based business and a FT job, I needed strategies to help me build structure quickly. Our first visit I learned how to set up a "living structure" for my Benson, how to potty train him, create a routine that worked for my busy lifestyle. In a few short weeks my 10 week old puppy was predominantly pottying outside and used inside grass pads if I couldn't get off a zoom meeting, by 12 weeks we started commands and using Ingo's training my Benson picked up on them in a few days. Each session has helped me tremendously and built my confidence. Now at 18 weeks, we are cruising right along with each stage. I love how from the very beginning I was listened to, supported, educated, encouraged and have access to a wealth of knowledge that I can leverage every step if the way. I would highly recommend Exceptional Canines to anyone wanting exceptional dog training service!

My Wife and I have waited patiently for the right time to bring a pup into our family of 5. We knew and discussed many times that we wanted to give the pup the best life possible and that a huge piece of manifesting that desire was have a clear and defined foundation for communicating with our cuddly canine. We conducted a fairly deep dive into at-home trainers in our area and upon discovering Exceptional Canines, our interest was piqued. After a week of sitting on the idea and reviewing our options we decided to reach out to Exceptional Canines and Ingo responded almost immediately. We had a brief introductory call and a subsequent questionnaire. After discussing amongst ourselves, my wife and I decided to commit to Ingo and his curriculum before we picked up our pup, so we prepaid for Exceptional Canines services! This worked out to be the best decision we could have ever made! Ingo provided us a myriad of tools and educational materials to research and study before we brought our 10 week old Corgi "Waffles" home. We felt undeniably prepared for Waffles' arrival after Ingo's guidance on tools and accessories for potty training, developmental stages/expectations, methodology and even apps to help with it all! Because we had a baseline of education from studying all of Ingo's curriculum he was able to closely refine our processes and point out ways to make our communications more clear. We were able to teach Waffles his name, to sit and to feel comfortable in his crate in under 10 minutes each. It became very apparent to me at that time, that Ingo has an unremarkable ability to read our pup and his emotions which further solidified the choice in in-home training we made. Additionally, Ingo is AKC certified for a multitude of different assessments including S.T.A.R. puppy and Canine Good Citizen. Overall, we are so entirely grateful that Ingo was able to work with us. He is professional, patient and an incredible teacher for dogs and humans alike. We cannot wait to continue growing and learning together, Thanks Ingo!

My family and I adopted a dog from a rescue, and we were struggling to house train her. So, we decided to hire Ingo, and I'm glad we did. Ingo gave us a detailed protocol to follow, and it worked like a charm. It didn't take much time for our little dog to catch on. Now, we give a command word, and she immediately does her business outside.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is determined after we make an appointment for our 90 minute initial consultation, training, and assessment. There is no way to quote a price. There is travel time to consider, how many dogs need to be trained. Puppy programs are different than aggression programs or separation anxiety, and Potty Training is different than Basic Obedience and Citizen Good Manners Training.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our signature in-home dog training programs are proven science based behavior change methods that promote physical activity, mental stimulation and, most importantly change in the desired behavior you're hiring us for! So we will always do initial consultations, training and assessments of clients dogs first. Then design the programs for each case that is customized to the family, goals and needs of each owner.
