Alex has really made an impression on my 7 yo son and he has only had two lessons. He practices guitar nearly every day and is showing me how to play without getting my thumb lasered off. (This is apparently what happens if one’s thumb is visible above the neck). Alex is very good with my son even though his attention span is short. He is showing him the correct way to hold and play the guitar and my son is really enjoying the lessons. So far, Alex has been very conscientious and reliable. I would certainly recommend him as a guitar instructor.

Let me compare taking bass guitar lessons with Michael, to trying to learn on my own. Simply put, it's like night and day. Trying to teach myself was a lesson in futility--I didn't know where to start. In just a couple months' worth of lessons with Michael, I've learned more quickly than I thought would have been realistic. Michael knows his stuff. He is very good at tailoring his lessons to each student's goals, in order to get the most out of the student in the least amount of time. More importantly than that, however, Michael keeps his lessons and the learning environment very open, encouraging, and non-judgmental. He offers personal insights on theory, as well as life in general at times, which makes lesson time much more fun and interesting. I would highly recommend Michael to anyone who is looking for quality instruction!

I hired Tyler to teach my 11 yo son guitar about a month ago. Tyler is very responsive, flexible, and he works well with my son. My son had been playing for about 5 years and is a pretty “tough customer” but Tyler has shown persistence and I have already noticed an improvement in my son’s playing. I would definitely recommend Tyler (Aggregate Perspective) for lessons.
