Ed came over on a last second request, the project was bigger than we both imagined. Ed was amazing and got the project done in an hour and a half. Would definitely call again.

Derreck came out the same daub i called. I needed work done right away. I contacted 12 other companies. This one responded quickly and met my need for work done right away. Derreck did a great job and was on time, professional, and very pleasant

Dereck and Wendy were both professional and quick to respond. My project (plumbing, faucet repair) ended up being more difficult than expected but Dereck finished quickly and the job was well done. He was knowledgeable, punctual, and courteous. Their hourly charge is very reasonable. I highly recommend Dereck and Mermaid Engineering Handyman Services

Mermaid Engineering reached out right away upon our job inquiry and had Dereck scheduled to come to the job the next day. Dereck communicated when he had left a previous job to come to ours and sent a picture of himself so we would recognize him when he showed up, a gesture we appreciated. Dereck was very courteous and professional, knowledgable about all aspects of our exterior siding project and is a licensed General Contractor. He communicated throughout the whole job so we knew what was going on and what he was doing. We needed to leave before Dereck was able to finish and so we asked if we could leave the check with him, but he told us the company would send us an invoice and we had a few days to pay it. Dereck texted us several completed photos of the job when he finished while we were away and we received the emailed invoice at the same time. We wanted to personally look at the finished project before we submitted payment but it was evening when we came home so we couldn’t see anything. When we woke in the morning we had a text from Paul Wilkerson, owner of Mermaid Engineering at 4:30am and an invoice sent again at the same time. Come to find out that Mermaid Engineering is not a locally owned business, they are based in Illinois or Florida, based on my internet searches. Anyway, it appears you don’t even have 24 hours to make payment and they don’t take into consideration the time zone difference when they communicate with you. The siding was done extremely well, we are very happy with the work done and would use Dereck in a heartbeat. Be sure to request him if you use Mermaid Engineering. 5 stars for Dereck, 3 stars for the actual company for not communicating clearly with their technicians so they could convey the correct information and for texting me at 4:30am on a Sunday morning.
