📋 Strata Cleaning Services – Estimate & Booking Process Terms
1. Estimates
All estimates are based on the information provided by the client (square footage, number of rooms, current condition of the property, etc.).
Time and cost may vary depending on the actual condition of the home at the time of service.
Estimates are not final invoices. Additional charges may apply for:
Undisclosed rooms or conditions
Heavy buildup or neglected areas
Add-on services requested during the cleaning
2. Booking Confirmation
A booking is confirmed only when:
We receive all required details (address, square footage, room count, service type)
A valid credit/debit card is placed on file
You agree to our Terms & Conditions
3. Card on File & Pre-Authorization
For all new clients and one-time cleanings, a card is required on file at the time of booking.
Your card may be pre-authorized for the estimated amount but will not be charged until the job is completed.
We will notify you if the job requires more time or additional services prior to continuing work beyond the estimated scope.
4. Time Windows
Cleanings are scheduled within a 1-hour arrival window.
If delays occur (e.g., traffic or job overlap), you will be notified promptly.
Cleanings are charged based on actual time spent on-site, per our hourly rate matrix.
5. Final Invoice
After the cleaning is completed, your card on file will be charged for the total hours worked and any applicable add-ons.
You will receive an itemized receipt via email or SMS.

Ok so firstly I would rate the cleaning itself 4/5 stars, but my overall experience was more 3/5. It started with the quote I originally received. I talked to Bryce on the phone, and we decided on a deep cleaning over a standard because it included more of the services I was looking to get done. He asked about the square footage of the house and the bedrooms/bathrooms, and since this was a gift for my mom for Mother's Day I told him it's not my house so I didn't know the square footage but that it was a 4 bed 3 bath. He sent me the quote and said it would take 5-6 hours at $50 an hour, and I was good with that price so I decided to move forward.
They were scheduled to come at 1pm, so at 12:45 I sent the gate code. They were prompt in replying and said the cleaner would be a tad bit late due overlap in cleanings, which is no problem. By 1:35 the cleaner still hadn't arrived, so I reached out for an ETA. He said she was stuck in traffic due to an accident, but would be there as soon as possible. Again, not a big deal, I just wanted to remain in the loop. At 2:20 he called me and said her car broke down and that she wouldn't be coming, but that he had 2 other cleaners that could come at 3:30 instead. I had to go to work so I told him they could come at 4pm when my mom arrived home, so we went ahead with this plan.
The cleaners came at 4 and they stayed until 9:30. They came with their child who was really well-behaved, but it was a little strange that they brought a kid. Life happens though, so I get it. They did a really great job on the fridge and oven, and overall the kitchen and living room looked really good. However I feel like this is the problem, as they spent most of their time in these two rooms and therefore not as much in the other rooms. My mom and I had done a little pre-cleaning to help them out as we know the house is bigger- we washed and dried all the sheets from each bed and then placed them on their respective beds to be made. The beds were never made and I came home to the sheets still in a ball on top of each bed. It also looked like they vacuumed 80% of the home, and mopped about the same. The bathrooms looked very nice, and they did the windows, but in the quote that I had received that I attached below it included things that weren't done such as baseboards, beds, laundry.
I brought all this up to Bryce when I got home from work around 10pm. I wasn't rude in my message, as I wanted to make it clear that I appreciated the ladies efforts and they definitely did a good job, just not completely what was anticipated. I told him how I felt like the cleaning was more of a standard cleaning + fridge and oven, as we have had cleaners in the past and the house didn't look any different to their standard cleanings. I attached his reply below. We do not have 4 bathrooms, the 3 I originally told him are actually 2 1/2. It just felt a little rude, and the ladies stayed for the exact amount of time he quoted which was 5-6 hours. However when I received the original invoice, it was $433 because there was a surprise $120 pet hair removal fee. This was the price with a discount included due to them being 3 hours late. I just paid the invoice because I didn't want to deal with arguing and what was done or not done was done, but I was a little bit disappointed.
As for his message, I feel like as a company owner/representative it's your job to ask the right questions before giving a quote. He knew it was a 4 bed 3 bath, which entails it's a big house. He also had the address beforehand so he could have figured out the square footage, as a different company I got a quote from did that. I said their were pets in the Thumbtack questions, so they knew there would be pets, but the pet hair removal fee wasn't disclosed prior.
I don't think this is a bad company, the ladies who cleaned worked hard, and I appreciate the discount for the tardiness, but I do think it's a little unorganized and not as professional as it could be- as well as inaccurate quotes. I understand a quote is just an estimate, but they should be asking more questions to give the best quote and not lead to mis-expectations. Bryce later sent a text offering to have someone come free of charge to do the areas that were not done, but it was after I paid the invoice. Again, not a bad company, the house was definitely clean just not as deep cleaned as expected.

You're absolutely right—we could’ve done a better job asking the right questions before sending the quote, especially since square footage and layout really impact the time and detail needed for deep cleans. I also should have made sure all potential add-on fees, like pet hair removal, were clearly communicated beforehand.
Regarding the clean itself, I appreciate you recognizing the team’s effort, but I understand that missing tasks like making the beds or fully completing baseboards is disappointing—especially for a deep cleaning. That’s not the standard we aim to deliver.
Your feedback about scheduling delays and professionalism is also noted, and I agree that these are areas we need to improve. I’m already revising our intake and quote process to avoid similar missteps moving forward.
While I know you’ve already paid, my offer still stands to return and complete anything that was missed at no extra charge. We want to make things right and make sure your mom gets the full experience you intended.
