- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We have a $5000 minimum on all projects. In our experience, design and install projects cannot be professionally completed with a budget lower than $5000 and it is often higher. We want homeowners to know that the costs of labor and materials have gone up over the years and to be prepared when committing to a project.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We offer free consultations to our clients to discuss initial thoughts and designs. We will then produce an estimate which you can choose to accept or we can work on reducing depending on your budget. From there we ask for a deposit on the design work (if relevant) and will send you a 3D rendering. Once you are satisfied, we will go forward with purchasing materials and installing them!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Together, Ethan and Shira have about ten years of formal education and experience. Ethan has a B.S. in environmental science and is studying at a world-renowned landscape management program at Mesa Community College. He is a practicing forester and a couple of months away from being a certified Arborist. Shira has studied plants her whole life and, while she has less formal education, she makes up for it in practical knowledge. She cares for over 200 plants in her home! Currently, she is a graduate student at ASU studying Desert Horticulture and Design. She is also becoming a certified Master Gardener through the University of Arizona.
