Mr. Stam acknowledged that he was able to install a new garbage disposal at noon instead of at 3 p.m. I reminded him to pick up a new disposal which he did since I had not purchased a new one for the installation. He arrived around 12:30 p.m. and he immediately began to work, He finished the job within 1.5 hours, gave me his card, specified his name (stated he is Greek not fluent in English) and I paid him by check ($150. disposal, $120 labor). I have not yet used the new disposal but don’t anticipate any problem other than possibly leaking, but I will advise if assistance is needed.

I hired the worker to put up shelves in 3 closets. He came over and spent maybe 40 min telling me I didn't have studs in the closets and how to put up shelves without studs which would be very labor intensive. The next day I bought a stud finder and all 3 closets had studs. If he had one he could of come in and put up the shelves and not wasted my time. Then he hung the curtain rod too high and I will have to pay someone to lower it. Then I thought he was going to take 10 15 min to get a piece at the hardware store and come back. By this time he had been at the house more than 4 hours and I had to leave for an appt. I had no idea he was going to take lunch - which had I known inwould of told him to take his stuff since I had to leave for a doctor's appt but he didn't. It seemed like for 100 an hour it would of been a much higher quality of work. To not being a stud finder to a job where he knew he was hanging shelves is not ok. And I paid him for a lot of talking and what I really needed done didn't get done.
