AJ did a fabulous job making a Mexican meal for my husband’s surprise 40th birthday. The best queso I have ever had! AJ was everything you would need in a personal chef and will use again. Including a beautiful table setting.

First off — I just want to give another HUGE thank you overall! I’ve been following Chef AJ’s work through the app for over a year now. Last year, I had plans to book him, but life threw a few financial curveballs my way. This year, I put it all in God’s hands and let Him take the wheel. I really wanted the experience — not just for myself, but to give my wife a night to remember. We’ve both been working non-stop, and this private chef experience with AJ truly lifted a weight off our shoulders. (Welcome to America, right?) From the very beginning, AJ had perfect communication. He walked me through everything step-by-step as we planned the surprise for my wife’s birthday. On the day of, he showed up well-prepped, on time, and honestly — he overdelivered. While juggling cooking and conversation, AJ shared something that hit home. He left a great job to pursue his passion full-time as a chef. That takes real dedication, courage, and faith. Not only can you see his love for cooking, you can taste it. I’m still thinking about that smoked salmon mousse-stuffed shrimp — seriously, I’m tripping over it. He went above and beyond — creating a personal birthday sign for my wife, bringing flowers and wine, and adding those little thoughtful touches that take an experience from good to unforgettable. While he was in our kitchen, it didn’t feel like a stranger — it felt like a good friend cooking for us. After the night was over, my wife looked at me and said, “That was a 10 out of 10.” AJ even cleaned up the kitchen spotless, and we ended the night with a selfie and a video just to say thank you one more time. Chef AJ was absolutely phenomenal! We hired him for a private dinner to celebrate my Mom and Aunt's birthday, and he created a Southern meal that made us feel right at home. Being from TN, LA, and TX, we had high standards—and Chef AJ exceeded every one of them. The table was beautifully set with elegant plating and tabletop fire pits that elevated the entire experience. Even though we arrived a bit late, Chef AJ was already prepping like a pro, completely at ease and so welcoming. As a fellow Texan, he instantly felt like family. We had music playing, line dancing going on, and there he was, bopping his head while cooking—it was like having your favorite cousin in the kitchen. The food? Incredible. He served pork chops stuffed with cornbread dressing, citrus-infused candied yams, collard greens, a dreamy mac and cheese, and for dessert—peach cobbler with vanilla bean ice cream. Every bite was bursting with flavor, perfectly seasoned, and the pork chops were so juicy we couldn’t stop raving about them. Chef AJ didn’t just cook; he hosted.
