Lee Piano Service
About this pro
Eliot Lee was prompt, responsive, professional and friendly. He is very knowledgeable. He consulted me appropriately about the extent of repairs desired.Mar 21, 2017
The bumb never showed up. Oh well I found someone else and its fixed. Yes Mr. Lee I didn't have to send this young man 3000 pictures (exaggerating) to get an appointment in order to get the job done. Thank you Thumbtack for nothing!Apr 11, 2016VerifiedEliot L.'s reply
This person was only available on evenings and weekend so we could have arranged a time but never coordinated. If she had been there some day it would have been no sweat. There a plenty of eager young kids who have no life who would be willing to sacrifice their nights and weekends try to find a mechanic, cable guy or plumber then it's not so easy and they certainly charge more.
Eliot arrived on time, suggested some additional work at a reasonable price, and completed the job to our satisfaction. I recommend him and will hire him again to help maintain our piano.Mar 31, 2016Verified

Eliot Lee came out to my house to see an old piano I had acquired. It needed a lot of work and I wasn't sure it would be worth taking it on. He was very honest with me about the work needed, and I very much appreciate the info he provided. I will be donating this piano since it unfortunately needs too much done. Lucky for me, Mr Lee said he would assist me in locating another that would not need so much work and out of pocket, that will suit my playing needs and abilities. I recommend his services to anyone that needs tuning/repair. Thanks so much again, for your time and honesty.Jan 26, 2015VerifiedEliot L.'s reply
Hi Michele, Thanks for the review, I am still looking for your upright piano, please don't buy anything before consulting, regarding the spinet, I would keep it until we find your dream piano.

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I like to give the piano an evaluation 1st. It may have such serious problems and is so horrendously ugly that it isn't worth fix. Don't be penny wise pound foolish in getting a piano w/o having it inspected 1st. I hope the customer is regular in having it serviced semi annually or annually.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Every year we have our state convention and national conventions. In addition we have a montly magazine a daily forum which I check. Here in the valley we are fortunate in having some of the best piano technicians in the world, with the best Piano produced in Scottsdale and few excellent retired technicians who are willing to help if you ask them the right question. In fact my son is studying with my mentor twice a week.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?My mother was a pianist and always complained about her piano. I was curious about all the weird tools the piano tuner had and decided to learn in High School.
