Introduction: Ellen Haines (E-RYT 200) is a yoga and meditation teacher in Seattle Washington. She has dedicated herself to the practice, study, and teaching of yoga since discovering its joys and benefits in 2011. She trained in the disciplines of Ashtanga and Hatha yoga at the Association for Yoga and Meditation in Rishikesh, India. Being a lifelong learner, she continues to study and practice with world-renowned instructors such as Meghan Currie, Patrick Beach, and Dylan Werner. Her vinyasa classes are a challenging yet satisfying blend of effort and ease, meant to inspire and empower her students. She believes that when you conquer challenges on your mat, you develop the strength and confidence to conquer the challenges you face off it. Ellen is an incredible meditation teacher. She makes learning to meditate easy and accessible. Like many others, I had heard of the benefits of meditation for quite some time and was always interested in trying the practice but never really committed myself to finding the time to do it. I found it all too easy to make excuses as to why I couldn’t start and I didn’t have anyone to hold me accountable. That’s where Ellen came in; her three-day workshop is just enough to get you started but not feel overwhelmed. Before I knew it, my body was actually begging me to meditate and it became my favorite time of the day. In this past week alone I ended up answering some questions about myself that I’d been asking for a very long time. I am so thankful for Ellen’s guidance and I truly feel that she’s given me the tools to change my own life. Don’t hesitate to give this a go! Ellen is an excellent yoga instructor. She meets you where you are with your practice and she is so encouraging and supportive. I appreciate all of the poses Ellen introduced me to she could break down all of the steps to get into the new pose - she made it seem effortless.
