He makes learning jazz piano and music theory really easeful, tailors his lessons to what you’re interested in (instead of a rote set of exercises) and managed to always find me exactly what I was interested in doing even if it was esoteric, and was really encouraging and positive. My goal was to get a thorough grounding in music theory and learn how to arrange piano for my own songs, and I was amazed how easily it came with his instruction after years of wandering through pop piano on my own. I’m a local opera singer with Arizona Opera, mama to a 1 year old, and have my Master’s of Music from Indiana University. I’ve sung with Shreveport Opera, Seattle Opera, Florentine Opera, and am currently in the OperaTunity troupe with Arizona Opera. My studio is still small, and I have plenty of weekend availability! I travel to my students’ homes for the lessons, and I love to share the love of music to others! I teach beginner piano lessons, from the 6 year old all the way to the adult beginner!
