Since most dog training is for the owners and not the pet, Cat knows how to train both animal and owner. What I love about her methods is that they are all non aggressive or punitive. She could be Scottsdale's Dog Whisper she is so good.Nov 27, 2016Verified
Had our first training session today and we look forward to having a well behaved dog. Cat was welcoming and friendly.Nov 12, 2017Verified
Dog Training - Group Lessons
Training was very effective and organized. It was a small group and it was nice to have extra training assistants on hand. Cat was always in control and the dogs knew it! She was very calm so the entire training session(s) was focused. I highly recommend Cat!Mar 21, 2016Verified
I have tried obedience classes with my exuberant, hyper maltese previously with limited success. Cat trained my eccentric little pup to sit, wait, leave it, touch and come, as well as worked on her barking with one week of daily one-on-one training. It is obvious that she is very experienced and talented. I felt safe knowing how happy my puppy would be there with her big beautiful yard and friendly demeanour. I highly recommend Cat for dog training!!Feb 17, 2014Verified
Cat doesn't just train animals. She trained me too. Some of my dog's problems were rooted in my behavior. Fixing that helped my buddy understand the things expected and I can move forward being a better owner. Her gentle quiet way is a terrific example of what a dog wants. She showed me some tricks! I never ever thought I could let Mocha off her leash in a wide open space and that she would listen to me when I called her back. Complete satisfaction. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a great relationship with their dog.Feb 15, 2014Verified
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Yes. I am doing some continuing education in cat behavior, and with dogs, clicker training is one of the newest techniques I'm learning. Experts have actually trained Hyenas with clickers to press their necks against a fence for blood to be drawn without the use of any tranquilizers. It is a simple tool which used correctly can quickly teach a dog almost anything.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?My whole life I've had dogs and other pets and always could find ways to teach them and bring them together peacefully and then I found an extremely frightened dog in the street who had no skills and thought every thing every other animal, person or movement was a threat. I was not going to give up on her but realized that I didn't know enough to help her so I went back to school and not only changed her life for the better but mine as well and decided that it was so rewarding that I wanted to spend the rest of my life helping others and their pets find the peace and joy of a calm and balanced pack.
- What types of customers have you worked with?Dogs or cats who will be sent to the pound without immediate behavior modification. People who want to learn to communicate better with their pets.
